i think it should be. Just give point per £1 spent directly with the club, for away tickets point per £1 the club gets in commission

The money from ifollow goes to BCAFC so in theory you are more loyal buying an ifollow pass, so you should get more points.

Thought first certain number went to the home team and then the rest to the away team?

Now confirmed that a membership plan is in place where a fan can become a member and receive a scarf, 100 loyalty points, and member exclusives for £35.

Disgusting this. Opportunity to buy loyalty points in a quick cash grab from the club. Stinks to high heaven really, how can someone spend £35 quid on a scarf and get the same loyalty points as some forking out time and money on ten away games. Shocking idea and needs a rethink. Done deliberately knowing folk who go away regular with a lot of points will need to buy a membership anyway simply to keep ahead of someone buying what essentially is a frigging scarf.

Agree with you - leaves a bit of a funny taste does this.

I understand the club are always looking to generate revenue but this new loyalty scheme seems more bother than it is worth. I never travel away, so it doesn’t impact me directly, and it wouldn’t do until we drew a big Prem team in the Cup as that would be when I would then want to bag an away ticket.

but it does almost seem like the club are effectively bullying the away day regulars into buying this new flimsy package, which offers nothing of note other than the opportunity to keep up with the others by bagging the 100 loyalty points. ‘Be loyal and sign up or slip down the pecking order’ etc.

I look at it this way. Customers are your cash cow, as a business its up to your commercial department to rinse them of every penny they can. Its a harsh example but knowing a very successful commercial executive i know how this stuff works. I can see why folk think its out of order but thats commercialism.

This has been in the public domain for some time (2 or 3 months) and has already been discussed earlier on this thread.

There are also plans to introduce loyalty points for suite upgrades and spending money in the shop and at the kiosks.

The scheme is moving rapidly away from prioritising away match tickets for those attending the most away matches, to priority for those who spend the most with the Club.

It would be interesting to know whether the scheme being put in place is the one that those that were clamouring for a loyalty scheme expected.

I have concluded that it is a waste of my money.
I managed to get a ticket for Barrow; missed out on Hartlepool due to the IT issues when released to season ticket holders and couldn't get one for Harrogate. I am unable to go to the Salford match.
I can't see any problems for other fixtures so won't be buying this.
I am already too far behind in the loyalty points stakes for it to make a difference.

I don't quite understand people on this thread at the minute, pretty sure it was always there to encourage those who spend more to further spend more.

regardless it is still a much better system than the priority pass

I remember the times where we really didn't have much of a pot to P*** in during the parky days.. then people are surprised to see the club do as much as it can to generate as much money as possible? I mean the CEOs previous role was head of commercial.

Now hopefully this money can be invested back into the club correctly!

I've already made my comments about it and said this is only the tip of the iceberg IMO, how far does it go as some have posted do you get points for buying a pie and a pint, buying merchandise from the shop.
I do support the lad but I think he will be ruthless with his goal of making our club self sufficient, but then again is that not what we want as fans, so we aren't reliant on our owner.

I have said before that the scheme is muddling two different things.
It is rewarding those who spend a lot of money with City with a higher chance of an away ticket when they are in short supply.
It is not rewarding those who travel away a lot. Their spending gets a smaller reward.
Loyalty is measured by the club as the amount of £ you spend, not the encouragement you give the team by attending away fixtures.

I'm no Sparks apologist but there is no denying what he and the commercial team have done. Its there in black and white, record shirt sales, unprecedented support from local business, ticket sales seeing 16,000 plus crowds. Back over to you local businessman of the year

If we do get promotion this season loyalty points become less relevant as the majority of League One clubs will have the capacity to accomadate our traveling fans.
I've purchased priority cards in the past and missed out on a couple of games, I've found other ways of following the game it's certainly not the end of the world some make out.

The clubs aim is self sufficiency, Sparks has to effectively create his own money for Hughes to play with. Might not be to everyones taste but i fully back Sparks on this one. Admitted i ain't that bothered about how many points i have.

Nice meltdown happening on Twitter, people called for the club to generate more income and said season tickets were to cheap. Well here we are it’s smart as well, make it like a competition who can give away the most money. Regardless of the complaints I’ve no doubt it’ll sell well and bring more money into the club.
