I'm not feeling to bad Onside had a good chat with Dave on Saturday before the game.

very unfair, took us to a wembley play off in the league above. Has the best win % since McFarand. Won the highest points per game since 3 points a win was introduced. Constantly in play off throughout. Went undefeated at home. And most importantly gave entertained and kept most (you and a few others obviously excluded, why i dont know) fans onside.

Seems a long time ago we sang "weve got cullen"... but hey if you are judging his second spell as a failure then there is no point in debating with you. It must be personal unless you think others have taken the gauntlet up and have surpassed his achievements. Sacked after his 1st bad run by an egomaniac who had been waiting to pull the trigger since Millwall. If we had a decent chairman then we would not be talking about how we struggled to get 1 shot away against Mansfield in the bottom tier of the english leagues.

No point in debating with a WuM.

 

Can anyone confirm how many games this season we have started the following game with the same players and same formation?

I would be surprised if we had done that at all this season.

 

Could be something in the Vaughan thing. Either that or Doyle is going back.

Surprise! As far as I can tell, we have done it 5 times, though we have never had the same starters for 3 matches in a row.

Aug. 17 & 20: ROD, Mellor, BRE, AOC, Henley, Palmer, Scannell, Devine, Wood, Donaldson, Vaughan
Sept. 7 & 14: ROD, Mellor, BRE, POC, Palmer, Connolly, Pritchard, Devine, Wood, Donaldson, Vaughan
Dec. 7 & 14: ROD, Mellor, AOC, Henley, POC, Wood, Cooke, Oteh, Taylor, Reeves, Vaughan
Dec. 29 & Jan. 1: ROD, BRE, AOC, Henley, POC, Palmer, Wood, Connolly, Reeves, McCartan, Vaughan

Perhaps those who've been at the matches could confirm if the formations have been the same, but in any case we have these instances of beginning with the same starters. This really has been a major part of our problems -- whether down to tinkering or injuries, we have never been settled enough. Looking at it this way, it does seem suprising that we have stayed in the playoff positions for so long.

And at what point do you seek to remove the possible reason behind the unhappiness?

There are all sorts of potential reasons for this poor spell, my opinion is that we have been under performing all season and the luck has finally run out.

 

My instincts have told me something has been wrong for months. Doyle may not have enhanced the dressing room atmosphere, but it has hardly been upbeat for a couple of months. Regardless of results our performances have been poor. You can only sustain poor performances for so long without results starting to follow!

 

Luck we have been no luckier than any other season much less so when you take into account injuries which would have finished most teams in this league

 

We already established we have been the luckiest team in the division with OGs and pens this season.
