    Gary Bowyer has a win % @City@City of 30.4

In comparison McCall failed spell here he had a win% of 34.6 and parky had that win% also.

McCall win% last time was 45.8% yet some just look at his last 6 games when the rahic manipulation took its toll. ;-(

    Others worth looking at
    Collins 28%
    Grayson and Jackson 21%
    Hopkin 20%

League 2 this year is a very poor league IMHO

I'd be surprised if he didn't get that message yesterday, embarrassing and at the end he had the gall to applaud the travelling fans, very reminiscent off the Blackpool game under Grayson.

A bit like on here then, thank goodness we were well away from it, you could feel it in the atmosphere shocking when our own fans start having a go at each other.

Even the players were reluctant to come near that baying section at the end of the game.

The players got little abuse if I'm honest. Quite a few actually applauded them. The players aren't daft, they know where our anger lies.

I would hope so, as we walked out I turned round and only saw Connolly applauding the fans as he walked away, agree the players should know most of if was aimed at Bowyer but they cant get off scott-free from that gutless performance.

I find it hard to criticise the players this season apart from yesterday as they are definitely being told to play this way. They are showing signs of fatigue with the situation. The equivalent of asking a joiner to be a plasterer, yes they are both in the building industry but completely different skill set. They will leave either actually leave or emotionally and that is what we are seeing. Plus berating the players is the same as kicking the ladder away when you need it to get on the roof/promotion.

It was blown out of proportion. The police and stewards handled it well and there was no fighting just the usual scuffling when stewards go into fan areas. The chanting was bad but even the enthusiasm for died off.

I thought Connolley looked to be crying at the end, (know how he felt) also noticed that when he was subbed Reeves walked round the pitch at the Mansfield end rather than risk the wrath of the City fans

Great idea bringing the players in today for extra training
Extra training in what I ask GB only knows one way of playing
Maybe he thinks we need to do what we did yesterday only better
Him and Drury really are taking us for a ride
Wouldn't blame any of the players not turning up today they must feel as downtrodden we do

Players must hate the training, if they are set up to play the way we see them on a Saturday.

So negative and boring. Bringing them in for an extra shift may do more damage.

If the fans know what the problem is then there is no doubt the players do too.

Hence why the stories regarding unrest are surfacing.

The key to Bowyer’s ‘success’ in getting us into promotion contention up to Christmas was his tight defence. It compensated for an average goal output (from underperforming strikers if you looked at the xG) as, in relation to chances conceded, we were creating enough to win games (despite what other fans said).

However, it therefore has to be a grave concern that we are now shipping so many goals. Our performances have been dire and we deserve to concede that many.....well actually our GA flatters us.

Its extremely worrying that we’d have been expected to concede another 10.5 goals this season based on xG.

Our defensive is in dire straits right now and given that is the crux of the Bore-yer ball approach it has to surely set alarm bells ringing.

I am really sad about how this is turning out. I had thought that Bowyer was turning things round. The club seemed a happier place. He seemed to be a good man manager and got Reeves playing again - and he did well in his first couple of matches. For me it began to go belly up the moment Donaldson was victim of that Morecambe player standing on his foot. I have to be fair to Bowyer, the injuries have cost us, not just to Donaldson, but Devitt, McCartan and Ismail too.
Now comes the big but. He is too cautious and worries far too much about the opposing team. His formations and set up do not get the best out of the team or put us on the front foot. For example yesterday, if Donaldson was really only fit for 15 or 20 minutes I would have said not fit. We would have been much better with Doyle and Oteh up front with McCartan or Devitt behind. Baffled why Cooke is not one of our central midfielders and sits on the bench. The one thing I would say is the last 10 minutes after Donaldson came on was the only time after Connolly's miss in the first few minutes that we actually got in the opposition box. I think Donaldson and Doyle could work well together, but who knows if we will ever see it.
Yesterday was very poor and reminded me of Peter Taylor days. I don't like booing the players, we should be supporting them, especially when we are away and they got plenty of abuse, even McGee. I didn't like it yesterday in particular as I think the performance is Bowyer's fault for setting them up the way he does match after match, it must be demoralising. I thought McGee, Wood, Doyle and McCartan did their best despite the manager.

I am not sure where this leaves us. If Bowyer gets the boot, who will come in? Will they be able to improve the team and performances in time for this season? I am certain though that if Bowyer is to go, we need a new credible management team to step into their place immediately. How likely is that?

I did say it was bad despite what the stats said. The stats are accurate but they don't tell the whole story sometimes. This hasn't happened by accident, we've looked bang average for the vast majority of this season. Doyle coming back could prove to be his downfall, the one thing Bowyer managed to get right was the lack of goals conceded, Doyle coming back has seen us concede 7 in 3 and no chances created for Doyle.

It certainly seems to have taken a turn for the worse in January. Had always felt we just needed to stay in contention up to Jan and we’d have the option to strengthen and kick on, esp as the injuries cleared up. But now it seems we’re facing an uphill battle just to stay in the top seven.
