Welcome to 2019 mate, where if you have a different opinion to someone else you’re a pariah.

Surely our individual opinions don’t matter in this instance as it is a friendly and for a great cause. This is the time to silence your inner demons for the common good and show kindness to fellow football fans who are there to support Stephen. We can get back to the competitive football when we meet Cambridge.

See this is where people are going wrong.. I don't have an issue with the cause, of course I don't, that would be mental.

Whilst the majority are there to support the charity, lets not pretend it's everyone.. I bet some will never have even heard of him before this match was announced, these people are going to see Liverpool and nothing more.

So you are expecting the kop and other areas of the ground to be a sea of red shirts?

There will bethe odd one apart from the midland Rd. I'd be surprised if there was more than 100 in other 3 stands

You are probably correct, however coming to see Liverpool doesn't mean they are Liverpool supporters, City fans are coming because we're playing Liverpool. if we were playing Bolton we wouldn't have sold out, and not just because Bolton wouldn't sell their entire allocation.

I bet there not Bradford City fans, I can undersrand your side of the debate that maybe not all the Liverpool fans in attendance have never hear of the Stephen Darby.
Which IMO is a great gesture from the Liverpool fans that they are willing to travel and attend possibly seeing a second string squad made up similarly to that who played in the Tranmere game yet they are still more than happy to support the cause.

For a charity game? No, I don’t see your point.
It’s like picking a side for SoccerAid and getting pi55ed off if Robbie Williams scores against us.

Get a grip man, it’s not like it’s a competitive game.....!

Really? I recall both games being very well supported, so I refute the claim that both games were not sell-out for our own supporters. And even if it was true, playing Fleetwood days after the end of the season and paying £20(?) is a little different to paying £15 for a game to raise money for a much loved and respected former player.

When 35k+ fans travelled down to Wembley for the League Cup final, I expect it included some of those Liverpool supporting Bradfordians you keep banging on about. Did we see swathes of Reds’ shirts in and amongst our fans?

FFS man, seriously, get a grip...!

Similar story. My brother-in-law was an arm-chair following Man Utd fan. I gave him my ticket to watch City v Liverpool in our last match of our first season in the PL as I couldn’t make it. He saw Wetherall score THAT goal and has been a season ticket holder himself since. He took my sister and their son to Wembley for the League Cup final and they loved it so much, all 3 of them go now.

You can't beat live football! In the era we live if you don't have a family who raise you as a City fan there's a chance you'll slip into doing the usual and supporting a PL team because it's all form the comfort and very well covered. I always encourage people just go to a live football game and get the same buzz that I get too.

Absolute b0ll0x. He said his mate WAS a Man Utd fan but was converted to City 5yrs ago. Similar with my Brother-in-Law; he doesn’t even watch MOTD anymore and doesn’t sit watching the Manc games....!

You talk about FOBC being ripped off - if you’re paying £100p/mth for a sky sports subscription, you’re getting your arse pummelled....!

Nah, didn’t you hear, they’re already in Bradford, living next door to you, me and Plastic. In fact, I think his next door neighbour has been ‘doing’ jobs for his wife and that’s why he’s so pi55ed off with them

There you go again. I know you are a kind person, so I really don’t get this. If there are a number of fans just turning up to watch Liverpool, that is fine by me. It is not a proper competitive match, we are not competing with Liverpool. Yes it may annoy you and others as well, that ppl are not turning to support Stephen initially, but why contribute on a forum and disrupt what will be an emotional and hopefully a good event in order to get your point across? At the end of the day they have dipped in their pocket and paid exactly the same as me and you, therefore contributed to the cause. At the beginning during or the end of that match they will know all about Stephen, so job done.
