    I’ve not agreed with @Plastic Bantam@Plastic Bantam on most of this thread, but totally get where he’s coming from with regards to only £1 from each scarf sale going to the charity. Does that mean each one costs £9 to produce? Because I’ve bought scarfs for far cheaper made out of what will be the same material and can’t imagine they were flogging them at a loss. I’ll buy the programme and stick £5 in the collection bucket, that way for the same out lay the charity gets a far higher percentage of my money, which is what this games about when push comes to shove.:thumbup:

    Reading the FOBC website they have put all profit goes to charity. However have not stated what that profit margin is. If it's only £1 then they have either been royally ripped off or didn't shop around. I'd be amazed if it was only £1.. However I've no reason to doubt what @Bronco@Bronco heard

    That I can respect a lot more. They actually attend games. You might all think I'm wumming and taking the p!ss however what it boils down to is I just can't wrap my head around someone would rather pay £100+ a month to watch football on TV than go down to their local club and buy a season ticket

    England were odds on to be in the final of the world cup and the final day was known about a long time in advance. Shame that this was booked up on the same day. Liverpool fans will pretty much miss all the game if coming. hey ho

    Yes for a sports fan its a very good day as you say, going to the game so just a matter of what I record.
    I think it will be the Cricket Final as I'm not a great formula one fan and Hamilton will win his home Grand Prix I'm sure.

    Just been reading on the FOBC website and it says profits will go to the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation and Bradford City, so what percentage goes where who knows, but surely for this occasion ALL profits should go to the MND charity.

    I see the hostility to Liverpool fans and Bradford City fans who may also support a PL clubs carries on unabated. I won’t repeat what has been said many times. This match should be played as a true friendly both on and off the pitch.

    I feel saddened that some have tried to disrupt the good feelings about this match, with their speculation about others fans motives, speculation about who will play in the Liverpool team as if that matters.

    I have supported Liverpool since the sixties, but I have never been to their ground unless City has been playing, in fact I have never been to any football match unless City were playing. Will I be clapping Liverpool goals, no I will not, will I be clapping City goals you bet. Will I enjoy the skill demonstrated by Liverpool of course I will. However, what really matters on Sunday is that Stephen will hopefully know that he will not walk this very difficult road without our support and thoughts. Obviously it will be his family and close friends who will be by his side, but thousands of football fans will be praying for him and sending our positive thoughts to him.

    I have watched all the games in the Cricket World Cup, I feel gutted that England are now in the final and I won’t be able to watch all of it. I am trying to plan the day round it tbh. I could record it, but doesn’t really interest me once I know the score, and no doubt it will be on again later. Does anybody know of a pub nearby that will have it on? Or I am thinking of taking my iPad and watching it in the car? Or I could listen to the radio commentary.
