Liverpool friendly (Now with Poll)

I’ve agreed wholeheartedly with all your recent posts on this tedious debate, however I would just like to point out that whilst it’s a friendly for charity I do have expectations that we aim to be competitive and compete with Liverpool and give them a game. Whilst the overriding aim is to raise money l Also want to see some positive play from this new team to take into next season.

I can see the club using the game as a shop window to attract new sponsors etc.
I wonder if the club will also use it to sell the club to potential new signings or loans from pl clubs. Perfect opportunity.

 

The vast majority of us understand the reasons
for this game and the positive sentiments we
agree on.

However,it may be of interest to know how some
Liverpool fans see it.

On YouTube there's a video blog called "Redmen",
a Liverpool supporters blog and they see it as a
massacre,predicting they will win 7/8 nil.

Strangely enough,although they know it's a pre
season friendly,they make no mention of the
MND charity.

I hope we treat the game in the best possible way
but the City fan in me hopes we play competitively
and put their predictions where they belong!

Without giving 'too' much away, a fair read on Official BCAFC site, regarding GB's latest views on Citys progress, and what tomorrow means, for both past and present players.

Here's hoping the game is contested in the right spirit, and the Foundation coffers are filled and utilised to their maximum potential

As a side benefit, if it 'sells' the club to potential signings, that's all good too.

Maybe, but as I have said on another post, whether they know nothing about Stephen or MND before they get here, they most certainly will by the time they leave. 0-7 they think will be the score, I doubt that very much, we are not known for bowing before PL sides They also might be reminded the last time we beat a PL team and who the captain was!
