Imagine there were a number of reasons it got like this, but fans should never be without blame. If they all had tickets and patiently waited and got checked before going in I somehow doubt it would have happened.

This isn’t aimed at Liverpool or any individual club or person, but it’s a simple excuse peddled out now just to blame authorities regarding football matches. So many examples of fans behaving like animals and it’s only got worse these last few years, just off the top of my head; you’ve got the playoff semi’s this year, Liverpool fans attacking the Man City coach a few years ago, Euros final last year, Leeds fans throwing stuff at Man City players and their own, Celtic fans attacking their players last season and now tonight shocking scenes at the St Etienne game. These are just in the last few years.

If people didn’t act like tw@ts so often there wouldn’t be need for over policing and altercations just a suggestion don’t act like an animal.

1) There were problems at the Madrid end too. There’s videos on social media of their fans scaling locked gates to get in.

2) There are also videos on social media of French fans being allowed into the ground without tickets which is likely what caused the problems.

Uefa changed their story on the evening. First it was “fans arrived late” and then when they realised that there was footage of fans locked out 2.5 hours before kick off the line changed to “fans got in without tickets”.

I could go on and go into the arguments RE Hillsborough and Heysel but I won’t because quite frankly it’s a well trodden argument and it isn’t worth the time or the effort to argue with some of you who see sporting tragedies as an opportunity to feed your tribalism and point score.

How anyone can sympathise with these stupid scousers is beyond belief. Literally risking another disaster.

No. People said that there was loads of ticketless Liverpool fans getting in. Sitting in the aisles etc.

THE French minister seems to be blaming local youths for trying to force their way in.

 

And just to be clear I am saying it is too early to be coming down with definitive reasons and blame. The story is still evolving so maybe we should wait for some evidence and let the investigation happen before coming out with allocating all the blame to one side or the other, or from what the minister has said today another group

Except we know, from Andy Robertson, that some of the supposedly fake tickets weren't fake.

 

@BenitoCarbone it wasn't the Madrid turnstiles that were affected though, so that's contrary to the point.

Our club is synonymous with a fire disaster and as such we as fans do not light any flares or smoke bombs within VP for many, many a reason.

If a club is synonymous with an overcrowding tragedy, regardless of who was to blame, then the masses of ticketless fans trying to get in, causing disruption, injury, and missing the game for their genuine legitimate supporters are a disgrace.

There has to be an element of common sense and logic involved. Those thousands of ticketless/fake ticket fans have caused disruption for their own fans for a game in which they play in every few years. It was unnecessary, dangerous and disrespectful towards their own fans. It's typical scouse behaviour though, sadly.

UEFA run European finals without issues delaying kick off every single year, yet thousands of ticketless Liverpool fans turn up and suddenly it's UEFA, or a few madrid fans, or a couple of social media attention seekers fault? Come on.

 

This is the thing, when you get people behaving like this some innocent folk end up getting caught up in it and affected by it.

In most cases there'd be some ire directed at these people, including some self-policing within their own support, but because of Hillsborough noone is prepared to call out Liverpool fans whatever they do.
