The videos of them scaling fences and forcing their way in is despicable. No wonder they are abolsutely despised.

When will they learn and who will they blame? What a hideous fanbase.

suppose if you have paid £500 for a ticket and then travel etc you might get annoyed and take things into your own hands if you think incompetence is stopping you getting in

You've always been very anti-scouse Pinto. Not sure what your problem is. I guess you think Hillsborough was their fault too eh? : unamused:

Was is solely someone else's fault or should at least a few Liverpool fans shoulder the blame?

Fans, at some point, need to take responsibility that day, regardless of the nonsense that's trotted out.

That makes it OK to endanger the safety of other people then?

What if every Liverpool fan at Hillsborough paid £500 for tickets? Does that excuse them rushing through the gate?

Not at all but it also doesn't excuse the incompetence of the organisers. How do security manage to misdirect Liverpool fans to the wrong end and then not let them back

Tens of thousands descended on Paris and they only got 20,000 tickets. See how many were stood on the steps in the stadium? Didnt have seats. Scaling walls to get in. Have previous. Widely reported in media.

Doesnt take a genius to work it out.

So the media has widely reported people getting in with no tickets?

Didn't find much of that but did find this line

At least one gate was locked outside the ground – Gate Y, which was the main one for the Liverpool end.

Locked because folk were forcing their way through. What do you want them to do? Open the gates and let everyone descend into the stadium unchecked? That went well last time...

How did Madrid fans manage to get into the stadium with no issue? We know why.

maybe do what they do at large gigs in this country. Check tickets before you get anywhere near the venue. So have a cordon before the stadium that you then only allow ticketed fans past. They then get easier access to the turnstiles. That way fake tickets etc are picked up earlier.

so in those hours that fans were waiting for the turnstiles to open they could have had their tickets checked and any issues dealt with

were they directed to wrong end by stewards?

and they did have to close some turnstiles due to fighting at that end too

I’ll see if I can find the thread about it.

not really been picked up by the main stream media as it isn’t the narrative that the organisers are spinning heavily.

do your own research don’t just follow the narrative given by those in charge

Absolutely, there were many people at fault that terribly sad day. I just don't follow the peddled narrative that the only ones to blame were the police.

There has to be some responsibility taken by those fans who attended and then forced their way in without tickets. I know I'd feel very guilty if one of those were me and I certainly wouldn't repeat it like the Liverpool fans seemingly do at every major event they attend.

I agree there is blame on a number of points.

If the organisation had put some simple steps in though the second part wouldn’t have happened
