    I have watched a lot of the World Cup, I love the passion and skill these girls have.
    They will never compete in the men’s game but they play in the true spirit of the game, their game, and thousands watch them as they are really entertaining, well done girls and Come On England

    I've seen the usual suspects getting upset about a disney movie recently. Because Snow White isn't White. These films with Moses and Jesus have them portrayed as white men when in all likelyhood they would have been middle eastern (if they weren't fairytales themselves) and no one bats an eyelid.

    I think the problem is that people can't help but compare it to the men's game. When you do that Women's football is slower, less skilful, less powerful, but that's biology. The goalkeeping is poor in comparison to the mens game, as is the defending. The game's don't really flow as well as the mens game, etc. but why compare it?

    As a stand alone, it's alright. You need to take it for what it is, women's football, it's not men's football, it's different.

    Not really. Pretty much all sport is physical, and due to Biology, men will always be superior in that sense.

    Not quite there on the day but to win the Euros and make the final of the World Cup is a great achievement.
    The great thing now it’s got girls and young women playing the game enjoying the game and giving them fitness for life

    I think the question meant, on a directly comparable basis. I can't think of one, certainly not one that involves any sort of power, strength or speed, for obvious reasons.

    But mens and women's football don't need to be compared. They're separate and should be judged in their own right.

    Nice they showed their appreciation to the waiting fans at Heathrow this morning. Luggage and kit paraded past the waiting fans, every player ducked out of a private entrance leaving the waiting children in tears.

    Made for TV , not the fans it seems.

    What did I miss for two weeks besides the des rigueur pony tails.

    Pretty hard to justify such treatment of supporters?
