Was a guest of some Orient fans yesterday so watched it with them - and as most have stated it wasnt an easy watch! They were surprised we did go for the jugular a bit more as their team low on confidence but were generally pleased with a point. I know GB is getting quite a lot of stick for the dull style of play but 2 things I think we need to remember - last season people on here were crying out for us to tighten our defence and to become difficult to beat and we have achieved that. I know thats not exciting but we just need to remember how flimsy and weak willed we had become. Second thing is I really think the time for a bit more judgement on GB is at the end of January and has he then strengthened where necessary and sorted the obvious imbalances in the squad.
I know its not pretty and easy to watch but we are more or less achieving our goal which has to be in the running to get out of this division at the first attempt

Should be an interesting day to go down to London just after the election. Me and the missus are going down a day earlier, got a return on megabus and national express for about £15 each. Then an air bnb in South London zone 1 for about £80 for 2 nights. Good job is the missus loves going to football, so don't need to shop like mad to make up for it.

Might drive to Northampton then train from there.
    Only 30 quid in fuel.
Then you can get an off peak family travel card what covers train return to euston, but also includes unlimited tube, bus and DLR travel when you're down there. All for £36.
that's based on 1 adult and 1 child.

They're having chance after chance. Imagine making a team who haven't won in 9 games look confident and full of threat.

Gary BowyerS, making average teams look amazing all season.

We should bring him back if nothing but to end their season. They might implode without him. We have the opportunity to undermine their season. Let's not be nicey nicey! Let's torpedo their season and bring him back.

Rut? Weve lost 2 out of our last 11 league games.

We are 5th in the table, only goal difference keeping us out of the automatic places

Talk of sacking Bowyer is madness

I agree, not been pretty to watch, but we are in a strong position still

Bowyer will have loved today. Clean sheet. Point away from home. Horrible weather. Lots of hard work and defensive blocks.

Never mind that it was dull as dish water and we wouldnt have scored if we'd kept playing after their lot had gone back down the tunnel. He loves this shit.

If we bring Doyle back then Bowyers not the man to manage him. Bring back Doyle and bring Stuart back and then watch the roof rise ! Definitely worth it and really easy to do. Doyle wont want to come back to work with a manager who didnt rate him ?. But if he sees our Ginger Leader in the dugout then I reckon he will buy into that ?

For all those calling for his head, where did you expect us to be at this stage of the season?

The football ain’t pretty, but promotion is the requirement and we’re on track for that. Why rock the boat (not that the board will)?

His brand of football won’t work in league 1, but it’s working in league 2, however turgid it is.

Genuine question but can anyone actually tell me what our identity is on the pitch? Honestly, one minute we're hoofing it, the next we're trying to play it out, the next we're going counter attack.

One week it's a back 4, the next it's a 5. 2 strikers one week, 1 striker the next. One minute 2 wingers, the next none.

It's just baffling and not normal for a manager to change so many things so often.

Hasn’t a clue we are lying joint third with a game in hand with the best home record in the league. And he has done that with at once stage 10 players out injured if that’s not having a clue god help us

That's exactly it. The Oteh ball into the box in the second half was perfect.
There wasn't 1 city player within 10 yards maybe more of getting into a position to be on the end of it.
As much as Oteh fluffed his lines with the first half attempt when he shot instead of squaring it, he shouldn't have gone off before that pantomime dame Vaughan who dived around, riled up opposition players and offered bugger all until the 85th min when he produced a shot.
    Absolutely piss poor yesterday
Even my ever optimistic lad who said we played ok last week said that we were boring.
    Thats what im worried about.
Football is meant to be thrilling, its what keeps us going back, year after year.
This type of football we are producing under Bowyer is even draining the enthusiasm of the kids who see everything as positive normally.
Its the first time in 32 years of following City that I don't want to go to away games because i know we are gonna be horrendous to watch.

Their defence was so shaky anytime we got near the 18 yard box.
All it needed was another 10 yards up the pitch from us to break the door down.
They were crap and there for the taking.
We don't have fluctuating form as you put it.
We play crap and win 50% of the time.
The rest of the time we play crap, lose or scrape a point.
The wins gloss over the dross we endure and naturally help people to forget.
Yesterday was just another game to remind us of the negative mindset of our management team.

Am I missing something? Doyle won’t be allowed to play against us unless they make the move permanent.

However you want to dress it up, a draw against a team who over the last 8 home games are BOTTOM OF THIS LEAGUE is very poor, if we are seriously seeking promotion.

Look at the table below and come up with an objective response based on fact, ‘rather than feeling’!

If over a season we need 23+ points from away fixtures, then on the basis that we lose to the top 8, draw with the next 11 (teams 9-19), we need victories from matches with the bottom five.

Clearly we are not going to win all our home games having already lost two and drawn one. If you project that over the season we will get 50/51 points from our home games.

Our current away form, given that we have already visited Morecambe, Stevenage, Grimsby and Leyton Orient and only got 6 points from four of the bottom six, quite frankly is very poor.

Our away form so far over the season if it continues in this vein will be about 30 points.

If we get less than 80 points, we are highly unlikely to get an automatic slot

Leyton Orient are rock bottom of the home form, based on fact.

I totally agree. Never appealed to me.

    Fordy,
When was the last time we had an easy 2/3-0 away from home? In my view a tad optimistic to say the least.! I hope from Bradford City's point of view you are correct but the league stats don't suggest that. For me a more realistic 1-0 win will suit me very nicely thank you, anything better than that is a bonus.

For anyone on the train to KC, sadly there has been a fatality on the track near Biggleswade station about 45 mins left of our journey. We are on the 8.15 from Leeds so potentially long delays for us and following trains

    I’ll keep you updated
