You really are losing the plot. Give it a rest!

Yes it goes without saying that every club wants to win their home matches but if you can't win away you out more pressure on doing that.

I expect to beat LO home and away because they're a poor side.

The away fans are already having a go at Bowyer and rightly so as his football is dull. Yes I understand we're 5th but we also look like a team who's wheels could fall off easily.

The league doesn't lie either. It's utter pants this year and we are making such hard work of it.

I think if fans are prepared to watch GBs style of football for the next 2 years or so then they should be happy for him to continue as manager

I wouldn't really have a problem with us setting up like yesterday, to grind out a point away at high-flying Swindon. That's pragmatic.
I have a big problem with setting up like that against Orient, who've been conceding goals for fun. That's just poor.
We have to take the points against the poorer teams when we can and we won't do it like that.

Yes you are correct the deal is he cannot play but my guess is City will agree a fee for Doyle in Jan from Swindon with him not being allowed to play against City, having said that the best outcome would be if another club other than Swindon came in with a better offer and City accepted no point in Doyle coming back he will just run his contract down if he is forced into coming back to city.

There isn't another club. It's us or Swindon.

Agree. BUT a player can only play for two teams in one season. So he cannot turn out for another club. His contract ends this season. The only monetary value is for Swindon to take him and release our contribution to his wage, so we can invest in an alternative player. I agree that if he comes back, then if his heart/head is in Swindon, the memory of his difficult season and our style of play, then he may no longer be prolific!

VP is a strikers graveyard thanks to the sh1t managers we’ve had here in recent times. Maybe Bowyer should take a look at some Swindon / Oldham videos to educate himself on how to get the best out of Doyle.

The last time we dropped in the bottom league it took years to get back. This time we are on course to do it first time. I think the reaction on here from certain people is nothing less than hysterical.

Difference last time is we were financially ruined.
Yes we’re not a million miles away this season but I’m starting to see negativity in our performances which is resulting in unnecessary dropped points. If it carries on like that into the new year then it’s likely we won’t go up.

We also have the best home record in the league and we are picking points up away. At the moment we are not conceding we are on course

However you want to dress it up, a draw against a team who over the last 8 home games are BOTTOM OF THIS LEAGUE is very poor, if we are seriously seeking promotion.

Look at the table below and come up with an objective response based on fact, ‘rather than feeling’!

If over a season we need 23+ points from away fixtures, then on the basis that we lose to the top 8, draw with the next 11 (teams 9-19), we need victories from matches with the bottom five.

Clearly we are not going to win all our home games having already lost two and drawn one. If you project that over the season we will get 50/51 points from our home games.

Our current away form, given that we have already visited Morecambe, Stevenage, Grimsby and Leyton Orient and only got 6 points from four of the bottom six, quite frankly is very poor.

Our away form so far over the season if it continues in this vein will be about 30 points.

If we get less than 80 points, we are highly unlikely to get an automatic slot

Leyton Orient are rock bottom of the home form, based on fact.

It amazes me how black and white it is to some people. Some see a point away from home, despite the context, and view it as a positive and anyone disappointed by that, apparently lacks realism. Probably the same people who didn't see the game yesterday, logged into sky sports and saw our 2 shots on target to orient's zero and thought we must've deserved to win the game.

No one is saying it's a good result.

It won't factor in to the top performances of the season.

But it's simply not a disaster in my opinion.

    Disappointing? Sure.

    But no more than that.

The reason you aren't ever taken seriously though is because we could be 7 points adrift at the bottom and your replies would still be exactly the same.

Setting up with a 5-3-2 formation was the problem. Making a change to bring one of the wingers on would have meant a change in formation to 4-4-2. We know Bowyer is a safety first manager so it was no real surprise to me that he didn’t change it. Disappointing that he didn’t, but no surprise.
I think he’ll go back to 4-4-2 next week, because he knows he’ll get stick if we don’t at least show attacking intent.
