Did you travel the length of the country to watch that Park?
I'm a pragmatism and I'm pretty tolerant of dull football if it gets results. But Bowyer's extraordinary lack of attacking ambition makes Parky at his most cautious look like Kevin Keegan. And it's starting to wind me up.

Today's game was crying out for the speed on the flanks of Connolly, or some trickery from Ismael, to unlock a defence that is anything but impregnable. We had not a single corner and made the second worse defence in the division look like Arsenal under George Graham. It would have been perfectly possible to introduce a bit more creativity off the bench without going gung ho and risking defeat. With the players we have we should be beating teams like Orient, not hanging on for a goalless point.
We all want promotion. But watching live football is supposed to be a pleasure, not an ordeal, and today was grim.

What do you think the reaction would have been if we had played open expansive and lost do you think we would have had Fordy on saying well done. It’s about getting out of this league and we are on track

    Like about 15 other teams,

We're not on track at all.

The football is dreadful and the manager is boring as.

Don't you go to games now? Understand Plymouth is a long way.

I'm not saying we should be 'open and expansive' away from home. But winning no corners and having just a couple of shots against the second worse defence in the division is ridiculous. We have a quality ex-PL striker running around like a headless chicken and receiving no service whatsoever.
There's being cautious, which I understand, and there's being absurdly unambitious against a team near the bottom of the league on a terrible run of form. It would have been perfectly possible to introduce Ismael or Connolly off the bench for half an hour to try to make something happen without going 'open and expansive'.

How about what would the reaction been if we had played open expansive football and given them a right beating? Yeah you guessed it we’d have been rightly praising Bowyers attacking intent. Instead for the third game on the bounce and for the majority of games this season we are bored shitless. We should be going all out to beat teams like Macclesfield and Orient FFS, not hoping for a penalty or an own goal.

How can we be when we are so shot shy and toothless in front of goal?

We wont go up on bore draws mate.

We need to be scoring or building up and attempting to

We did none of those (again) today against a team performing poorly lately

We should have hit them for six had he used our wingers, which worked so well in earlier games

The guy is tactically useless and dull dull dull is an understatement of the football we are having to endure

After not doing many away trips in the last few years, I have this season taken my wife to Stevenage, Morecambe, Plymouth and today Orient and have seen 4 awful games where we have somehow managed to get 7 points.
We should have lost them all, and our good home form cannot keep us up near the top of the league all year.
It has been expensive and depressing, and risking our long happy marriage.

You're clearly sat in Plymouth looking to upset Bradford fans.

Bowyer hasn't proven himself at the club since he has been here so how you can think we're on track I will never know

We were playing the team who were 20th in the division over their last six home games. So l guess l had expected a more attacking performance. Is that not reasonable?

Expect to win away against the bottom six, draw against the teams 18th-10th, unpredictable against the teams 9th-5th and probably lose against the top four.

I think that is a reasonable expectation for a team in the play offs against a team in the bottom six.

Please explain in a detailed analytical response if you want to challenge.

It should go without saying that any team that hopes to go up in any league should be looking to beat a bottom half team that's well out of form with 1 win in 9.

To go there with a negative display is an embarrassment to the club.

I said last week Reeves collecting the ball from defenders was pointless and negative. Vaughan is not being played collectly and the it just seems like we go into matches not looking to win but just not to lose.

If we don't go up then I feel for the club as many will not renew their season tickets no matter what the price is because football under Bowyer is dreadful and the league is awful.

At this present moment we have little option and we knew what the situation could be only having a rookie as back up.

It is not as black and white as you say. Football has too many differentials to correctly predict an outcome of a game.
I see your bezzie Josh Wright got booked for impersonating a footballer.

Genuine question but can anyone actually tell me what our identity is on the pitch? Honestly, one minute we're hoofing it, the next we're trying to play it out, the next we're going counter attack.

One week it's a back 4, the next it's a 5. 2 strikers one week, 1 striker the next. One minute 2 wingers, the next none.

It's just baffling and not normal for a manager to change so many things so often.

Whats with all this sudden need for us to have an identity on the pitch. We have never had an identity on the pitch.

From what I have seen if we play open expansive football we will win more than we loose
I am yet to see a defence which would cope wingers firing crosses in to a centre forward of the quality of Vaughan FACING GOAL. Our Wiltshire exile and team are showing us just how it should be done bringing him back and playing the same way we do won't make any difference. Yes the aim is to get out of this league this season and the only way to do that is to make sure you score more than the opposition and not set up to thwart the likes of with respect Macclesfield Orient Morecambe etc but to go all out attack from the start and make the chances count (we have the personnel)
Not calling for his head just yet but he needs to realize that just because he once got Blackpool promoted (did you know that) he isn't always right and sometimes needs to consider his own actions
We are in a play off spot at the moment but a lot of teams know exactly how we play and playing us holds no fear

As a club, you're right we have no identity off or on the pitch. But managers have an identity and bring it to the clubs they manage. We knew we were getting hoofball from Parky and attacking, attractive football from stuart for example. What is Bowyers identity?
