    Their 'good' posts are equally matched by 'poor' ones.

    As a first year pro, then YES ....... WHERE were the 10 'pro' players (on the pitch), to pull him through ? I'll tell you - O'Brien was too pre occupied trying to pull THEM through. Make no mistake, any player that had ANY value in January, is now worth Jack Shit ! The ONLY one I'd pay money for is a young kid called O'Brien. That says it all.

    And he was rightly criticised at the time. to bring it up now is churlish, given that as a young loan player in his 1st season he would have been one of the ones youd have had your money on to have a shit or at the v least patchy season and yet has stood head and shoulders above a number of senior pros with far more experience for 99.9% of the season. His contribution has actively put the senior pros to shame in my view in both application and ability but that doesn't matter because he cost us at blackpool. He absolutely gets a free pass because the rest of the time he actually gave a shit and tried his best unlike the ones you've mentioned, hence why they come in for so many pelters and O Brien gets let off.

    No one said he has zero responsibility. Quote the post where someone has said that!

    What has been said that he was energetic and in his first season playing first team football, he attempted to play in a manner which most of us think is what is required.

    If the ‘collective’ managers throughout the season have virtually put his name as first on the team list (or at least an essential part of the team) then they can see something positive in his time on the pitch.
