All that would mean is the club would add the commission fee that the platform provider charges so the price would be the same online and you would have to pay more at the ticket office. For away games it would mean we'd probably lose money selling them online as we only get 5% of the money and the normal commission on these websites is around 5%. It's also a convenience charge, you could go to the ticket office and pay £15 for the ticket or for the convenience of not having to go to the ticket office plus the cost of them the ticket is £16 (plus £1 if you want it posting out to you).

It isn't the fans demanding the switch to cash free transactions though, this is a club driven initiative which presumably saves costs down the line. Yet, like the majority of these things, it's the end user that picks up the tab even while it's transitioning and imo that's wrong.

 

The option is still there to pay by cash if people want. Also if they did cash turnstiles you can guarantee there would be people complaining that they don't get loyalty points.
The club is going with the times just like many other clubs.
