As I thought they might Sky Sports have picked this match for live coverage. Just hope that by it being on Sky it puts people off attending

 

Hopefully reduce price of tickets and get a good crowd in for the tv.

I'll still be going to this game regardless of it being on TV. However I'll record it for no doubt the memory lane bit about the Cup run.

 

I wonder what the limitations are on EFL Cup ticket prices - I bet our hands will be tied somewhat, not least by Hull getting 45 % of the gate.

 

I think both clubs need to agree. However, I'm sure City will put forward estimated gates based on entry price.
I think it would need to be £10 entry to get a half decent crowd.

 

Bigger the crowd the more expense in terms of staff, energy costs, policing etc. Not always offset when you're charging a tenner a pop to get in.
Probably better to keep to a sensible ticket price and keep half the stadium shut and just pocket the Sky monies

 

Leeds at home in 2014 was £10 a ticket if i remember correctly.

How much is the sky money for this game and why are hull entitled to 45% of gate receipts after costs. Being live on the tv will reduce their following. What if they bring no fans, they have put nothing into the pot, but take nearly half out.
I always think they should announce the tv matches after tickets have been on sale for a bit.
Still be going though.

 

Every club gets 45%. If TV matches were announced after tickets going on sale that will only end in a lot of unhappy fans as most of the time being on TV means the kick off has been changed.

to be fair if we drew Manchester United away in the 4th round an it got televised, we’d be asking for 45% of gate receipts so can’t really complain if the shoe is on the other foot

 

These cup matches are usually mid week ,evening kick off and do not get moved to suit tv.
How much is the tv money and does it compensate for loss of possible gate revenue.
