Without a doubt Cooke's goal output for a player in his position is poor. But you cannot question the creativity he brings. If this club bothered to recruit competent strikers he would have 15 assists a season.

In the league Cooke has 4 assists and 1 goal this season.

 

As much as I like Cooke if he doesn’t score it’s not good enough in the AMF role. He’s not strong enough in a central midfield role, so could be considered a luxury at the moment. He’s been here a while now and it’s obvious Adams doesn’t see him fitting into his side. We need goalscorers to get out of this league and Adams likes his whole team to contribute especially his midfielders.

That shows assists and goals, not chances created. It only shows chance created which result in a goal. Most of the chances created by Cooke don’t end in a goal as we cannot hit a barn door.

Only at Bradford City can we be bemoaning Cookes 4 assists while ignoring the fact that the player that's selected ahead of him has just 1 whilst starting almost every game.

Never mind. At least if the next clogger can score a couple that will apparently prove he contributes more than Cooke.

There could be a few go in the January window who are out of contract at the end of the season. We all have our favourites but if a bit of wheeling and dealing in January gets us up I for one won't be moaning about players I rather we hadn't let go come the end of the season.
I'm not a big fan of Adam's type of football but if we had taken some of the many chances we have created and turned some of those draws into 3 pointers I wouldn't be complaining about his style of play. Like everyone else I just want to get into League One (for starters).

 

How is a key pass defined? Is it a missed opportunity or a pass that sends someone through down the wing for them to cross for an assist?
