I say reported, no idea where that figure has actually come from now I think of it... still apparently one of the higher earners though

 

I agree it was more the point that it suggests a cheaper wage structure going forward and we’re already‘sustainable’.

But yes I bet we haven’t got value for money out of the likes of Evans and R O’D.

So you think someone like Evans who is probably one of if not the highest paid in the squad who can't get in the matchday squad and when he has played has largely been ineffective is good financial sense for City?

I think the point is our budget is plenty to get out of this division, it's just been squandered largely and repeatedly.

Yet most on here want massive investment to demonstrate we are doing things right.

Time will tell if Adams is the right man to turn the ship around. But give him a bloody chance.

 

I should imagine he means better value for money, perhaps performance/results based incentives. We are all judging him, including me but we don't know how he likes to operate when it comes to players wages on whether he even gets involved in that side of things.

So having scraped (yes scraped) our way to 4 points in 2 games, this is Adams approach to boosting player's morale, keeping enthusiasm high and making sure everyone is focused on the next match.

This guy has zero man management skills.

 

I thank he is pointing out that these players are earning decent wages and are not delivering. And are unlikely to get that sort of money elsewhere so will probably sit tight till their contracts run out

He's trying to convince the deadwood to leave... they absolutely won't be playing at all so their morale is irrelevant.

 

Who's he comparing it to? In terms of form we're 6th in the league over the last 5 games I believe (though performances have left a lot to be desired!)

 

No. I've suggested what I think might be the case which at no point have I claimed is backed up by any actual evidence. Because it's just an opinion. Sorry if that's not allowed anymore.

 

I think Adams has the support of the dressing room as the effort the team shows is generally very good . The fact we are average at the moment will hopefully be rectified from now on

 

You should realise that everything on this forum has to be based on facts.
Funnily enough though I’ve yet to hear from anybody on here who has a daily call to Adams and Sparks for all the latest ins and outs and a detailed spreadsheet of wages and bonuses.

 

Until at least one of them is left out of the starting line up (if fit and not serving a suspension), I will continue to think it could be a possibility. Might only have to wait another hour or so for that line of thinking to be completely blown out of the water though, eh

 

I'm fairly certain it's not actually a thing, I'm even less convinced Adam would allow outside influence into his team selection even if it was a thing. But as you say, it's not impossible!
