Agree. If it was someone coming in that looked like a real number 1 from stats/recent appearances then I'd be behind that. This lad looks to be back up from recent times. In fact, looking at his record he looks to have pretty much a similar record to Hornby when we signed him.

No, Foggy, to be fair, Adams reckoned there would be a signing before last Saturday and in his post match comments he said it had been held up and would probably be early last week. So, whichever keeper does sign will not be our first choice and the one we thought we'd be signing 9 days ago. Things have moved around.

But seriously, imagine if Cook gets injured given he's not even fully fit right now, we're really up the creek without a paddle... I can't believe how badly Lavery has done considering he's an experienced player we've supposedly chased before, the guy has been a non entity.

The deal for the keeper has already been done according to the pompey manager, so it's not as if we just decided to sign him. What's more important is the replacement for Angol and the additional striker we were looking for. We can't rely on the back up strikers who've scored less than 5 goals between them all season and are no use in the lone striker role.
