Morning @Fordy117@Fordy117. Getting a bit of flack this morning, so a bit of love in.

Come on guys, we all love a bit of a Fordy rant.

As for the above, some good strong comments, especially on apathy and RUPP OUT.

Thanks mate. It’s cold outside and some want to bring it. That’s fine but I am always ready.

The Fordy rant will never stop until we are where we want to be and we show some god ambition.

And bring who in, and on what salary ? I seriously doubt Sparks will be earning big in his role, possibly around £50,000, and I would expect an experienced CEO to command at least a £150,000 salary. Where are these experienced CEO's that are ready to replace him ? According to the YP, Mason was on £130,000 at welcome to Yorkshire, he isn't going to take a substantial pay hit and god knows what David Baldwin was on at the EFL.

If we need a CEO who knows football then that means poaching one and that will cost. By your logic there is no point bringing one in from another industry to learn on the job ?

The average CEO wage at League Two level is £71,000 and we have an "average" CEO. The point is that we need better, so we would have to pay more for it. As the CEO has little or no impact on players and is there to manage the club's finances, do we need to waste the salary of a player in getting a better (and more highly paid) CEO.

Why not just leave the one we have to embarrass himself with sound bites and let the manager get on with re-shaping the squad and getting us promoted, more likely next year than this ?

The ideal scenario is we have a CEO who is also the clubs major shareholder, so he has a financial interest in making the club run but, irrespective of whichever drum you bang, Rupp isn't going to sell.

Years ago there was a guy who frequented the Fighting *@?$ after matches who went on and on about not being happy until AC Milan were regular visitors to VP. We used to refer to him as "Mr Chairman" and he was an entertaining soul to listen to. He's probably in a cre home by now, but at least in @Fordy117@Fordy117 we have someone to take on his fight !

Play up front for City? Certainly would offer more movement.

    Don't be so ridiculous!

He is doing exactly what his boss wants him to do. Raising ST prices and selling more of them; bringing more commercial money into the club; keeping its costs under control and running it on a sustainable basis. Rupp won't be dipping into his own pocket so long as Sparks continues with this approach. It may not be what the fans were expecting but he will be pleasing his boss.

The issue might well come to a head when next season's STs go on sale again and he has to sell as many as this season against a background of fans' expectations not being delivered.

How do know Sparks isn't doing a decent job, and also telling Adams that our present run of results isn't acceptable? Footballing reasons? You said you didn't want him anywhere near football issues (which I agree with).

And what will that experience bro G exactly? Remember we aren't paying above average wages on or off the pitch so are limited in what can be brought in.

Exactly. What could another CEO do with the remit Rupp currently wants them to work to?

You are right to question lack of improvement, a manager/coach should be improving and getting the best out of players, which isn't happening. Watt is still quite young with ability and potential but he's going backwards in terms of development, Paudie hasn't improved and it's taken until the 2nd half of Saturday's game for us to see Songo'o playing in the position and doing the job we signed him to do.
As for Sparks learning on the job, that's the nature of that job, however old you are, it's easy to have a pop at him because he is so young. What Mike Hunt (a good friend of Hugh G Rection) says about Sparks three options with the present owner.

This is an impossible shout, but not much in terms of rumours available. Uche Ikpeazu at 'boro is rumoured to be for sale in Jan. That would be a good use of the Crankshaw money!

He's doing exactly what a bigger clubs chairman would want from his CEO hence the reason he is doing it, to put himself in the shop window.
Any greaser wanting to climb the ladder fast doesn't give 2 facks about who they pee off or stand on, on their way to the top.

Attacking Sparks is deflecting criticism from where it belongs, It is not his fault we are failing on the pitch

No you're right it's not Sparks fault we are failing on the pitch that would be a ton of collective responsibility there is no single person to pick out from the shower although Rupp is most to blame
