Correct. There were some lovely teasing crosses coming in today that were just begging for somehow to be anticipating and getting on the end of them

 

If the lad Walker is anything to go by with regards Adams signings I'll take that.

I'm thinking we might now see Sutton starting at RB. I don't think he's the best out and out defender but him and Gilliead looked pretty good together down that side on Saturday

 

Bit too early to start wanking off on it, one good game from Walker, Daly has played well for Hartlepool and the Luton lad is missing in action. The squad was light on quality, the subs bench has been piss poor. If say Cooke, Vernam and Watt leave, you still have the likes of Evans, Kelleher, Lavery and Robinson.

These new signings should be to augment the squad, not replacements for the better players.

Evans for Daly, Walker for Lavery and the squad is stronger. Ditch the better players and it might be a stronger first choice XI but it’s still a dogshit bench.

 

Another strange myth you've seemingly adopted Trev.

He put in one cross at Port Vale from the right (with his left foot) that we scored from and all of a sudden he's Trent Alexander Arnold.

He's barely played and when he has, he's hardly put in any other deliveries all season so this "can put in a good cross" is just made up nonsense at present.

I'm filling it in the "Hornby has better distribution" bin.

Regarding players leaving. I can't remember a time in my 45+ years of supporting the club where I've felt less affection for the players and how I'd feel if any one of them left in this window. The spectrum of my emotions would be a shrug at one extreme and a minor celebration at the other. The same can be said for those that are running the club. I've never been this apathetic before.

 

Looking forward to statement around the Crankshaw money having to cover the drop off in match day revenue as I believe the club are shortsighted/arrogant enough to do so

And to be fair to Adams i thought his interview tonight was honest and accurate (unlike some of his recent pie in the sky efforts)

Thank god someone who wanted to spend money in January didn't buy us either. We could've gone bust and ended up like Bury! Now we get to rot in League Two and sign cast offs while we delude ourselves into thinking there's a "playoff push"

I wonder how much Ryan and Stefan are aware of the depth of feeling against the club, it’s owner, it’s recruitment policies and increasingly the manager? Apart from Park and one or two others, there isn’t a lot of support here, on TCA or Twitter. I get the impression Adams’ saving grace among many fans is that there is a recognition sacking the manager every year hasn’t worked. Surely the club can’t be that ignorant? Can they?

 

I have to say I think Canavan has been garbage this year. Always falling over and about as slow as a slug. Just can’t understand why we have done it so last minute without a replacement seemingly lined up.

So woken up to the news of the Hendrie and Delfouenso signings and the fact we haven't replaced Canavan.

The window smacks of seeing the season out and looking ahead already to a massive clearout in the summer under Adams. Or, perhaps the faint rumours of a consortium takeover is on the horizon.

Whatever it is, another underwhelming if not bizarre window.
