At least Terry Yorath used the Rothmans Yearbook to sign players, this set of jokers seem to use an actual packet of Rothmans and see which side it lands.

I wonder how much Ryan and Stefan are aware of the depth of feeling against the club, it’s owner, it’s recruitment policies and increasingly the manager? Apart from Park and one or two others, there isn’t a lot of support here, on TCA or Twitter. I get the impression Adams’ saving grace among many fans is that there is a recognition sacking the manager every year hasn’t worked. Surely the club can’t be that ignorant? Can they?

 

If I do go next season which I probably will it will be mostly away games for me ........ least after a piss up pre kick off you oblivious to the shite that’s going off on the pitch

I would have rather kept Horby and shipped out ROD-feels like that would have saved more.

Ditch one of Lavery/Robinson and get someone decent it.

The saving grace for Adams is that he has done it before. You can't dispute his CV.
Also, churning Manager's and Players isn't working for us.

However, it's getting harder and harder to defend him because we're not seeing any progress and his signings, bar Ridehalgh, have been poor.

In my humble opinion the majority of signings smells of poor scouting/research, paying over the top for mediocrity, short termism and a significant cut in the player budget over the last 2 seasons.

 

Agreed. It's not a fluke. We've gone backwards because we've made dumb decisions.

 

But but Sparks made out we were going to actually SIGN permy players.. not loanee's, don't get me wrong Walker and Bass look decent but neither will be here next season.

This Sparks guy would make an excellent conman or MP, full of shit and lies..conned us into believing that we were going to make a "proper" go for promo and then lied about signing players.. time to vote with your season tickets by not renewing next season unless we pull off a 1996 type miracle season this year.

 

Well our fans have never chanted against Rupp, only Rahic and he got rid of him so probably thought they’re happy with me. Yes I do think his lack in of interest runs so deep that he doesn’t know many fans are against him, that’s why banners and flyovers aren’t actually a bad idea, at least he’d be aware.

 

As I have stated a lot recently I neither support Rupp or against him I just feel any new owner would run the club on much the same grounds. As for Sparks I think he has and is doing a good job having to cut his teeth during an unprecedented pandemic and given the mandate of self sufficiency he has upped income accross the club improved facilities at the ground pitch and training pitch. What he can’t do is manage the football side of things except to appoint the manager and he poached the guy with a very good cv.

 

Unfortunately they can use Adams as a human shield, and try to appease anger with yet another managerial change and another campaign of bullsh1t positivity.

As long as there are people out there blaming Adams, it will work.

I think there is a growing base of supporters that recognises now that Stefan can't be let of the hook, though - and those people need to forge onwards because positivity and hope ain't gonna get us promoted.

Scratch my previous monetary estimate. Apparently Colchester are paying a large part of Hornby’s wages not all, again if there was interest in ROD surely that was a more economical option? Unless he wanted a pay off
