January Transfer Window

Such a juxtaposition in this post seems to sum the club up in this window....supposedly in for Grigg (honestly?) an experienced higher level scorer to end up with a striker from the club at the bottom of the league who have scored 21 league goals and he can't get in the team, and appears to have attitude problems from that Stevenage fans tweet!! We quite clearly have no ambitions of promotion this season from what is a poor league!! Good luck JR in getting 20k season tickets next season!!

Doyle was never going to score regularly with us, it's a mis-match, so can go, we've not got weaker with him going. Vaughan, not a team player, maybe, maybe not weaker. That depends on the new arrivals, we've had Lee Novak mentioned a ton of times, but when he actually turns up, he's dissed. I'll wait and see but I'd rather have a Bradford City team full of players without one eye on being somewhere else.

 

We didn’t need the entire window Simon, the Doyle saga alone was enough to claim the crown! The entire window, I’m just about lost for words.

Most teams try to strengthen in the window; we seem to have wilfully inflicted self harm. If we had promotion potential before, we certainly don’t now. What other explanation is there other than we had to cut the wage bill.

I've just watched the montage the club put up and he looks another unit. If we thought Bowyer was gonna adapt our style I suspect we can guess again. With Don, Novak and Guthrie it looks like it's three big units to pick from and even more hoooooooooooooooooof

So we’ve shifted a striker (Doyle) who took the piss out of us, a guy who strung us along signing a 3 year deal and jumping at the first opportunity (Vaughan), a striker nobody rated (Oteh) and a midfielder who was blamed for everything that was bad about our performances (Palmer) and there’s a complete meltdown.

People keep saying we’ve let 34 goals go out the door are conveniently forgetting 23 of them were for Swindon, so we lost 11.

Am I happy with our incomings, no. Am I glad to see the back of those who’ve left, damn right.
