I think we are stronger as a team after the window and performances will improve, The only caveat on that is if Bowyer manages them properly

Of the several I knew of, Guthrie was one. Another was offered but club didn’t want to pay a £90k asking price.

 

So, to summarise, on the plus side:

There won't be too many tears (except a few of laughter) about the outs.
We don't have a midfield so hoofing it up to a few big strikers looks like a plan.
New lads coming in should put in a decent performance at least for a couple of matches (don't I recall Patrick scoring in his first match?)
We might even get promotion.

And on the minus:
Bowyer stays so more bland, boring football. When did we last see a pass?
Wtf will I do on Saturday afternoons?

 

You're probably right but he isn't a target man in the sense of Donaldson or Hanson or someone. That's what worries me. If we play to him like that it may not be playing to his strengths. He's more like a Crouch in that he's better with his feet than people would think.

 

There's some of your answer that Stevenage fans would agree with but I'm not sure these Stevenage fans of yours attend many games.

 

That has disappointed me most about this Transfer Window. We have been screaming out for a winner and tackler in midfield. I suspect midfielders will be surplice to requirements this next 6 months. Neck braces at the ready.

Last night’s experience tells us it will be someone that nobody has heard of who is flying in under the radar. I wouldn’t waste time speculating. It might even be a tease to take the heat out of this afternoons’s possible backlash.

Sounds like another under performing, injury prone winger we will hardly use,

 

I suspect GB is in denial about our need for a tackler. He’d be on dodgy ground telling Rupp he urgently needed another midfielder. Even with the departures we’ve still got enough for two teams. Trouble is none of them can put themselves about. Akpan can for about ten minutes. But that’s it.

 

Who will be bossing the midfield today. At a guess Taylor and Reeves.
