    The new manager certainly has to be very well connected..
    Who are these 5 or 6 players that we need ?
    Which clubs would be letting players go at any price ?
    Who would want to move to a club that is going down faster than the titanic ?

    Sure it’s been asked before, but can we get round the salary cap by paying ‘loan fees’ and the parent club covering wages?
    Not that I want us to be just going down the loan route....but like others have said, who’s going to want to sign for us in this position?

    Fine but there is a limit on the number of Senior Players you can have in a squad, given the EFL agreement. I make it that we have 18 senior players. If the limit is 22, then that restricts the number to 22. So reduce it to four recruits!

    I'd agree with that but add in that these need to be first teamers, not squaddies or raw young loans. Tall order for one mid season window that we traditionally struggle to recruit in.

    Whoever the new manager is will need to get some performances out of the existing squad. Good luck with that.

    Why are we the only team who don’t seem to get the “new manager bounce” that everybody talks about. If ever there was a time for that to change now seems to be it.Anybody got any more straws to clutch.I’m running out.

    That's my concern with the way the club has handled recruitment so far.

    We need to be realistic in wanting to rebuild part of the squad in January. There are very few contracts which expire in January and we'll have to coax better players away from their current clubs with a fistful of dollars. If not, we'll face recruiting those players who their clubs want to move on for one reason another. Otherwise, it will be the short term loan market for us and we don't have a good track record in that either.

    I would seek to pay up BRE, DMH, Guthrie, Evans and Sutton. Or release those dont want to be at City. Create space in squad but will need investment from Rupp.

    I mean if you think back to last year, quite a few good players were available on free transfers and loans.

    Eoin Doyle, the divisions leading goalscorer moved on, James Vaughan, who was actually the top scorer at his club at the time, moved out on loan as well.

    If we can find a club that gives away players like that, we could easily... Wait a second... Never mind.

    Wood only has 6 months left too doesn't he? Along with Hornby and Longridge, two others who could leave.

    We have 19 registered players. Space for 3 over 21s. Think he needs 5 or 6 first teamers as it is, wouldn't be surprised if we either released or loaned out a few to make room.

    Shows just how important it is to get the right manager in place because between January and the new season it is virtually the whole squad out of contract with very few anyone would keep, So a whole new team to be signed
