I only post occasionally but have already sussed Park bantam is a wind up merchant. The way to deal with such characters is to ignore them and not to respond to their posts,

 

If you sign a contract for anything with another and it’s cancelled at the request of another you don’t pay compensation you may agree to mutually cancel it which happened in this case

 

You need to use a lifeline on that one

It would be nice if it worked like that. Unfortunately because Tranmere and Vaughan have been working on this throught lockdown (Vaughans words), they've played a bit of a blinder. What we should have done is when it was known that Vaughan wanted out permanently, a few months ago, it was obvious Tranmere were talking to Vaughan and because of this we should asked for a token fee of say £50,000 and another payment if Tranmere got promoted. As it stands we just let the situation drift to our detriment.

 

It will have been mutally agreed after a figure had been agreed on as a settlement . That's how it works. Maybe not in your world Park.
But in the real football world it does.

 

It depends who benefits most for breaking the contract in this case Vaughan probably received a signing on fee to sweeten it from Trammere

Interesting times the Salary Cap has bought.
Some clubs will have benefited from, others will have lost.
What is apparent that the winners planned for it, did their bigger deals before it happened, and then voted for it.
The losers are those who sat on their hands and spectated.

 

Not hard to guess what category we drop into. We've never been proactive as a club, although Mason did try to change things on the media side.

Who broke the contract ?
Vaughan didn't. Never officially asked for a transfer.
He may have made it ubundantly clear he was only prepaid to do the minimum, but break his contract he did not.
Came to work, trained and went home. He may not of smiled while at training and sulked like a teenager, which is why McCall wanted him out.
He'll have both been paid out by us and most probably received a singing on fee. Between what we paid him off and what Tranmere have agreed with him, it will have equalized what he would have earned with us for the next 2 years.
You may not agree park, but that is the reality

 

The reality is he wanted out he was released by mutual consent there is not a shred of evidence he received anything

 

You do realise it works both ways right? If he wanted to leave he doesnt have to given a penny. Normally one of two things happen.

1) player wants to leave. End wages bye.

2) player DOESNT want to leave, pay off wages bye

Vaughan himself states that he was working to leave during lockdown- that has to be breaking his contract with City and with McCall himself saying he has been banging on doors desperate to bring in strikers, then the club knew he wasn't staying.
Shame City haven't been more upfront(pun intended) about what has just happened.
