I completely over-estimated their knowledge of English football and their lack of a real business or development plan! It didn't take long to realise that they had no such plans. I've since described their approach as spreading the jam too thinly and it being no different to the JR/ML approach of waiting for the cup windfalls to land in their laps. Whilst the arrival of JR might help to rebuild some of the bridges with fans, I'm less positive about there being any fundamental change in the direction of the club without Rupp putting his hands into his pockets.Stoneski, simons (woking bantam), Rogered Tart and 9 others like this. -

The club is in a serious mess simply being bottom of the table and looking at a significant drop in attendances.
I don't know if Mason means it's even MORE serious than that, maybe he does - but it's already very bad.Klepton, Foghornleghorn, bantamdave41 and 8 others like this. -
The problem with threads like this is you always get some sad entity who reads it and then takes to Twitter saying '''I am hearing" we're going into admin.
I am hearing... I'd ban that phrase if I could. You're hearing what exactly, you mean you've read some online rumours based on pure speculation like the rest of us and now want to make out like you're the font of all knowledge.
I don't have a problem with people mentioning snippets of things they've been told but bear in mind that some of our 'fans' are too stupid to take it on board in a mature and logical way. Bit of mass hysteria anyone?Botswana Bantam, simons (woking bantam), heavensentcitygent and 7 others like this. -
I'm becoming very confused by things being said and posted on the VP issues. People on here are using the phrase 'serious' to describe the current situation without being too specific. There are others on Twitter, other social media and certain fans mags who have also used that word to describe their concerns. And I don't understand what is being referred to as 'serious'.
Are they referring to our current league position which really is of concern to many? Are they referring to the consequences of being relegated which may well have major consequences? Are they referring to the possibility of R&R selling up or walking away from VP? Are they referring to the likelihood of the club being placed in Administration? Are they concerned about the club suffering a financial meltdown because of the antics of R&R? Are they referring to something only they know about and don't want to share it with the wider world? Ot is it all just bullshit and the word has been jumped upon because others cannot articulate their concerns? Can somebody define in clear terms what these 'serious' issues referred to now by several people are?Botswana Bantam, Idlebantam, vladimir and 7 others like this. -

ummmm, serious because we are at the bottom of the table, lost 6 on the trot, and don't look like winning a game this year maybe?

If Rupp walks away with a huge loss, then City have lost, the two are intrinsically linked. City do well, the club’s value rises, we fail, he loses money. -
I am certain this is a genuine comment from JM and one we cannot ignore. It seems to me we really do now have 2 choices 1) get behind JR, DH and the players as best we can or 2) continue to ramp up the pressure on SR and ER - I just dont think it is going to be in our best interests or possible to do both.
I still desperately want ER out of the club as soon as possible but if we are being honest it is going to take some time for all the things we want to happen to actually occur - and even then we are going to have to accept a framework that has lots of loose ends to tie up.
I have been told morale and the mood at the club has lifted with the return of JR and there is a feeling of fresh hope - but there is a mountain to be climbed to get us back on track.
So I think option 1) has to be the way forward - for our chances of saving the season. I would far rather we fight this battle in a positive environment rather than one of mass negativity but dont get me wrong, if I see Rahic I would still bluntly tell him he has no place at our club as he has been the worst thing to happen to us in my time of supporting City (obvious events excluded).
So I will be cheering the team on at Aldershot on Saturday and trying get a mindset that what we have to do starts here - we cant change the abysmal first few months of the season but it doesn't have to define what happens during the remaining course of 18/19. I know the odds are stacked against us but I have had enough of feeling s..t about my club, so time for a change of attitude from me (and for gods sake, please dont say I am becoming a happy clapper! )City-since-67, Utters0, Offside and 5 others like this. -
At each turn it’s feeling more serious. The corporate box early payments are ringing alarm bells for me. The long ‘holiday’ back in Germany and the lack of desire or urgency to return to back the manager and communicate with the fans does n’t feel right. Would n’t be a shock for me if they are searching for a way out with as much as they can take. Does anyone really believe they would pump in money to keep us going whilst we sink and then float in League Two never mind invest further to get us back out. They’ve screwed themselves (and us) big time. If not then come out now and tell us.

My own view ( i've already made my feelings clear ) ,If we go down with the current board and team the season tickets will not finnance the club , i see and admin coming up, and also can foresee the club folding . Drastic ? , yes it is, but the damage inflicted by Rahic and Rupp has destroyed the core of this club .
On social media various forums the rumours and ITK correspondents are all spouting this is what i've heard / know , the silence from the club is deafening , for the owners and others saying it's the fans etc that are the prime cause of the situation is quite frankly disgraceful . If the owners are serious about their ambions and visions fine tell the fans , and if rumours of money problems again be honest and up front with the fans .
You only have to look at the conference and see teams that not long ago were members of the EFL and are know struggling in that league on meager crowds . That could well be us in 2 seasons thats how bad i feel it is , i can remeber years ago attending matches at VP and BPA when fans walked round the pitch at HT holding blankets for fans to throw money in to pay the players wages .
Dont for 1 minute think we are too big to fall out of the EFL , i would hope that someone high up in the club would come out a say what the problems are at VP and either confirm or deny the current situation , it does the club nor our fan base any good with the constent finger pointing and blame culture that has accelerated over the last 6 months .borderlescott, simons (woking bantam), Two Legs and 5 others like this. -

I think it’s only a matter of time before Rahic goes. He can’t come back from this surely and, if there is any hint of truth in the various allegations circulating, he has to go. I think more will come out over the next few weeks about the state of the club behind the scenes. I don’t believe Mason is shit stirring, and relegation would be a problem.
What would help enormously is a statement on that Julian’s role is, how long he’s in the building for., what Edin’s new role is and what his exit plan is, there can be no doubt he’s on borrowed time at VP. Do that and a lot of the mistrust will start to recede.
The rest of this season could shape City for the next five years or more, relegation and it’s a long long way back in my opinion.borderlescott, rmbenson007, Utters0 and 4 others like this. -
Not sure why people are looking for hidden meaning.
We're the worst team in the country this year. And the years nearly up. Statistically, were absolutely nailed on for relegation. We've had 5 managers inside 11 months. The local and national press has repeatedly criticised how things are being run. Attendances dropping like a stone and fans organising flyovers.

It may surprise some but every season clubs are relegated from League 1 to League 2 and the vast majority of those clubs survive that experience. As much as I don't want our club to be relegated, it isn't an existential threat imo and I fail to understand why Mason would be promoting that concept now.
Rahic has much to be blamed for our current situation and we all understand that he probably won't be receiving a Christmas card from Mason next month. I can understand why Mason might well say Rahic should go .. and he isn't alone in that. But is he really suggesting that JR would be our saviour? The same JR who was at the helm on both occasions when the club was placed in Administration? The same JR whose judgement was called into serious question when he sacked Colin Todd once we were safe from relegation and we were still relegated? The same JR who said he would only sell to owners who could take this club forward and then didn't attach any conditions to that? Or the same JR who spent months in discussions and negotiations with R&R and got to know them well and still sold the club to them?Stoneski, BradfordBanter, How and 4 others like this. -
I think the general summary is that Edin is still a c**t and the sooner he leaves the football club, the better.Mal Content, Disillusioned of Bingley, Tony Wilkinson and 4 others like this. -
It is very serious behind the scenes let's just say he told a few people at the Rochdale game quite a few home truths about the club and things aren't rosy on alot of fronts and no he isn't stirring the pot but saying it how it is.
