I value Mason's view but in all honesty, do we really need someone to keep reminding us how "serious" things are? We know that keeping the club in L1 is the priority and we have to try and play our part as supporters.

It might be simplistic way of looking at things but surely if things improve with JR looking after the day to day running of the club then the point can be made that it proves that Edin isn't fit to run the football club. If things don't then the poison is too embedded and needs removing. Like others, whatever happens I can't see a way back for Edin to be running the club - he has to fully step back or leave.

 

And don't be fooled by those global warming jessies either.

Well hopefully he has worked that out now. You have to question his business acumen having made a massive mistake with Rahic, he has not disposed of his services long before now. Surely he must have listened to Grayson? Also buying a business with a view to not investing in the club was a really risky adventure? All businesses need prime pump money to kick start everything. Where was plan B if the hairbrained ‘we can do it on the cheap’ Plan A went ting tong? He may have calculated that he could afford to lose the whole lot, and walk away which might be Plan B.

Yes they bought our club, but had no intention of investing in our club. Rahic master plan was how it was going to work or it didn’t. Rahic does not have requisite skills to make sure the fans were onside, he allianated fans and sponsors alike.

 

Think @Dennis might be alluding to JR?

I highly doubt that Captain Admin will become a director in the current guise. I'm not up on the legal requirements but I was always led to believe that a director of a football club is banned after 3 admins. Don't know why that's in my head or even if it's just wrong or only a football league rule but I'm sure someone can right me

 

The tweet isn't saying anything we don't already realise for ourselves. I read it as him supporting JR and what he's been brought in to do.

It's clear they don't have a clue how to fix the mess were in hence JR's appointment.

As for the term 'serious', bottom of league one and cant buy a win? i'd say that covers serious.

I totally understand your point. But by point was with the last comment, that if Rupp and co do take us back to league 2 (which I don't hope for, but don't realistically think is avoidable), I hope he sells up to someone that will actually take us forward. That person is also likely to be a shrewd business man, that will only purchase at a minimum cost, meaning Rupp will be hurt financially, Just as us as a club have been hurt by him.

 

I think that sums up many fans chronologically view of how things have gone. My view of when they came was 95% positive, I was hesitant at how they were going to hunt down those young diamonds that would fund us going forward and I was reluctant to trust new owners but I put my concerns to one side. Like you say we swapped JR/ML way of running the club to R&R. We wanted or needed owner/investors.

 

January will be telling.

 

Has anyone considered the appointment of Rahic's wife in all this? What better way to keep bad news under wraps than to have your missus closeting all the correspondence and presumably any financial problems as well.
