I bloody wish we had him back at VP full time - or even as a consultant. Knows the club, cares deeply about it, and is bloody good at PR.

 

I will never understand the hate for Mason. It borders on childish more often than not.

 

James does whats good for James.

 

We already are mate. Just not the one that's best for the club.

James would be Ideal to bring back to the club, He is a very good promotions and Ideas man who also supports the club, He is just the type of character we need at the club to drive the off field side of things which is so important to the club going forward

 

Why do you bother to post on here? You have given up on the club. So why continue to stick the knife in?

Just listened. James sounds a genuine fan and a nice bloke. But I'm afraid also staggeringly naive. This is a continuous theme in the history of Bradford City, as I've said elsewhere, and the reason we have been where we have been since the war. We never seem to be run by people who really know football and who have the ruthless streak you need to succeed in a dirty business. Which is why we repeatedly get the wool pulled over our eyes in transfer dealings whoever is in charge of the club, John McGinley being only the worst of countless examples. And together with his other reprehensible attributes Rahic was naive too.

 

I listened to the interview, good listen. James did a fantastic job while he was here but we are at a different place now. What we need now is a professional PR Team, there remit is to take what worked in the past, and enhance and develop the brand of Bradford City. To reconnect with fans and always always keep them onside. To develop a strategy both short and long term to bring investment into the club, to get the brand out there. It will be expensive, but absolutely necessary, that is where I would like to see investment from Stefan. At the moment it is non existent, most businesses consider this type of investment crucial to moving forward with confidence.

 

From The Matter of Heart film:

*Abbott identifies Charlie Wyke as a target, shows footage of him to Rahic, gives his case and convinces Rahic to sign him.

*McCall gets the thumbs on a lad called Samuelson, and informs Rahic who sits down and is impressed by what he sees.

i'm not saying Rahic didn't shut down suggestions and that most of these players aren't Rahic signings, but clearly the transfer committees we've had in place have had some form of input.

Abbots role in this seasons shambles can't be excused.

 

BUT did he adhere to the list!!

 

I dont get the esteem in which Mason is held to be honest.

He messed up two lots of the most crucial ticket sales we'll probably ever experience by over complicating a simple process.

However anoybost wants to spin it he ligitimised Rahic's regime. He kept the employment when he apparently wasn't being listened to and chose to stick around, keep quiet about the details and pick up the wage.

If people like Mason, Abbott and others had left the club earlier of their own accord and spoken out about specific details rather than leaving it to rumour then we might have got rid of Rahic sooner and this disaster of a season might never have happened.

 

As good as Dave is, he never sold 19k season tickets. JM will tell you himself, he was just 1 of a team who all pulled together until 1 man came along and thought he was the team.

 

There wasn't much we weren't already aware of. Edin's claims of qualifications in and out of football checked out and bogus. Edin would arrive in the morning, throw his keys at a youngster and order him to clean his car. Key Players forced out when they would have liked to stay and a couple of amusing lines on our day out at Stamford Bridge. A lot of it was about his own background and he he got the job at VP. Nothing really to be held back in secret

 

Its a bloody good listen.
