I'm currently very annoyed with Eisa for being injured.

    Rational, huh.

Either way, I feel he owes us big time. If he gets injured again, he can do one for me.

Another thread waltzing off into tangents lol.

    Interesting early signing.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care if Vernham goes? He's had some cracking games but on the whole been distinctly average in many more. He can't even keep hold of the banjo to have a go at hitting the barn door with it.

Did you just laugh at the thread for going off on a tangent, then start discussing Vernam?

It's about Jake Young remember :p

No, you aren't. I've said all along I don't care whether Vernam, Watt or POC stay or go, none of them are irreplaceable and it isn't that long ago that plenty couldn't wait to see the back of all of them. If one or all of them stay I'll get behind them but if they move on, I won't be shedding any tears either.

I aid hes always injured which for the last 12 months he has been, tis also a fact. He's also never got more than 4 assists in a season so I really can't understand the love in for him on here

Of course. It's only hypocrisy if committed by someone else :)

Now you're just putting words in my mouth. Pathetic man, I don't get whats controversial about being up for moving on a guy who's been injured for the last year and has also roughly 8 career assists to his name, he's hardly gareth bale but folk on here think hes the second fecking coming for some reason.

To keep it on topic, I think Young is good business and much more who I want to see in a city shirt.

He hasn't been injured for 12 months. That's definitely not a fact.

There's also no "love in". People are just happy to give him a go and see what he brings. He might improve us, he might not but he's contracted so while he here wouldn't it make sense to have a look?

Time will tell I guess, I just don't have the patience to give players like that the chance, particularly so given his stats in his career prior aren't exactly amazing either.

When was the last time he played prior to the carlisle game?

sure but I also don't see why it's controversial to be up for moving him on, like 5 or 6 people have come out to bat for him on this thread and it seems a bit much to me

In mark Hughes , we appear to have a manager who brings the whole package.
He knows how to handle the players to get the best out of them. he is well respected in the football world.
I am certain he will manage the players to get that bit extra out of them and will also improve them as players , physically and mentally.
We saw that towards the of last season , with a squad of players that had been basically dire for the most part.

There a so many factors as to why a player may play for their local team for their whole career but I wouldnt say people should make a fuss of them because of it. Take Gary Jones for example he only played a couple of seasons for us but is talked about as a legend. Again circumstances dictate many a players career, just take Jamie Walker.

Quite possibly, and i am sure Eisa can bring something to the table and Young has got some experience in and around a promoted team at the tender age of 20

My god we have some right miserable negative sods on here.
Yes we should be performing better than we are playing wise, but we have had more positive news in the past few months than we have had in years.
Lets see where we are when the squad is assembled and Hughes has worked his magic. It has to be better than the past few years.

Are Burton, Fleetwood , Accrington , Forest Green bigger clubs than us. No they just play at a higher level currently.
We have the potential to sustain ourselves at mid championship level.
We just need to realise that potential.
Get the ball rolling , win games on a regular basis playing decent football and the fans will come, bringing with them more income and the chance to improve further.
We reached the premiership with Geoffs borrowing and if he had not gone crazy we could have established ourselves as a lower premiership , upper championship team.
Nothing to say we can not achieve championship football again, nothing to say we will.
That is the beauty of football, you never know how it will turn out.
