I suppose it depends on your definition of provocation. I am not saying that it was justified, I am saying for a young lad on his debut and experiencing the high level of frustration it was understandable. I know he is going to come up with more of these type of situations and guiding hand of MH will help.

Jake must be garbage in training to continually be left out of the this squad.

 

Sadly the bits I have heard this would appear to be the case - lack of application and effort.

If true, that's very poor from the lad. You have to wonder why though. Local lad, 3 year contract with a good chance to establish himself here, doesn't make sense, unless he is just not up to football league standard, and if that's the case, poor from whoever recruited him

Can't see that being true. I work with someone who is close to Jake, we spoke about all things City recently and they brought up Harratt. Didn't sound like those two were that close at all, mentioned Lewis and Jake being good pals which sounded the case with Lewis' interview the other week.

 

I’m sure plenty of decent players were crap in training but can do it on the pitch, in fact I know it’s a fact as I’ve heard ex players say so on podcasts. The truth is that he is our second highest goal scorer and should be atleast starting or on the bench. My assumption is that he’s had a bust up with Hughes.

 

If he's not putting in the effort in training he doesn't deserve to play on the weekend, it's not like when he's come in he's been undroppable. Where does he get in the side when Cook is scoring the goals he is and Wright is doing well with 3 goals and 2 assists?

 

Should be on the bench and playing on the wing replacing a tired Chapman at the very least.
