These people arent stupid, they are clever and manipulative. How many of the offenders of hate crime and mass slaying in this country have been "known" to authorities, been on watchlists, etc yet still managed to pull off an attack. Imagine the outcry of her being allowed into the country and in two years time pulling off a suicide bus attack or similar. Its highly possible

Seems someone has found footage of her Dad at a protest march against the US. Certainly looks like him. Get him f*cked off as well, no wonder the lass has a warped mind at 15.

I saw that coverage. Her dad was also on a protest organised by the banned Al Muhajiroun who Anjem Choudery led before he was imprisoned for terrorism related charges. I'm becoming less than convinced that Ms Begum is just your average 15 year old Muslim teenager from Bethnal Green with high minded principles!

EDIT - just rechecked the source. It wasn't Begum's father who was involved with the Al Muhajiroun protest; it was the father of Amira Abase, one of the girls who accompanied Shamima Begum to Syria.

    Great analysis from Richard Littlejohn

Should the repatriation of jihadi bride Shamima Begum go according to the usual script, she will arrive back in Britain on a private jet, chartered at tax- payers’ expense.

After a tearful reunion with her family, she will be whisked off to the BBC and interviewed sympathetically on the Today programme about the British and American ‘aggression’ which caused her to join ISIS.

We will hear how she was forced to cower in fear as Coalition bombs rained down indiscriminately on innocent women and children.

Ms Begum will talk about the terrible racism and ‘Islamophobia’ she suffered growing up in the East End of London and how she came to believe she could only find true safety and fulfilment living in the self-proclaimed Islamic State.

After being fast-tracked up the housing waiting list, she will move into a council flat with her new baby, claiming an assortment of benefits and reinventing herself as a ‘yuman rites’ activist.

Pretty soon, she’ll be reviewing the papers on Sky News and writing a column in the Guardian.

She’ll probably sue the Government for compensation. On legal aid, naturally. And win.

If we’re very lucky, her celebrity will wane eventually and she’ll be content living a normal life, quietly bringing up her child to be a model British citizen.

She should never be allowed back in this country. She clearly has shown no remorse for her decision to leave
London and get into bed with ISIS. Her flippant comments about spotting beheaded body parts in bins is truly shocking.

If she is allowed back in the UK, she would have to be monitored for life by the security services.

She is clearly a potentially dangerous young lady, who doesnt deserve a second chance over here.

I'm guessing its already been done mate, looks like whole chuffing family is in on this. I have no idea why people like this wish to live in a country and society which they clearly despise.

I'm not sure I buy the grooming/brainwashing argument.

For one thing, even if they were groomed/brainwashed, they are still dangerous. This one particularly so given that she is apparently unrepentant.

Secondly, I don't think that we should compare a teenager who joins a terrorist group to a teenager who is targeted by a pervert and groomed purely to have sex with them. The word "grooming" in this sense makes me uneasy.

If a young teenager is targeted by an adult and persuaded or coerced into having sex with them then the child bears no moral responsibility for that act. The child hasn't committed an immoral deed, they are the victim of an immoral deed because at that age they are not expected to be able understand the complexities of "adult" relationships and hence they are easy targets for manipulation by predators. I think that a large percentage of young teenagers, if left without guidance or social support, could fall victim to a sex predator if placed in that situation.

On the other hand I think it's entirely reasonable to expect a fifteen year old to understand that beheading people or burning people alive is wrong. Children can grasp the morality of these subjects at a much younger age than they can understand the rights and wrongs of a sexual encounter. This particular ISIS bride didn't fall in love with a sweetheart and move to Syria to join him, she moved to Syria and then subsequently applied to marry an ISIS fighter who she had never met or spoken to before. That to me indicates she is a dangerous ideologue who is thoroughly convinced that ISIS did nothing wrong when they were beheading people and throwing their heads in bins.

@ Dennis's post was intersting, I took it at face value she was a young impressionable girl who thought she was going to the equivalent to Disney Land, and it was just too big a chance to turn down.

That's because they like to live the life of luxury that Syria can't offer them aswell as free health service and no doubt umpteen £££££ from the benefits system whilst plotting their next step to rip the legal aid system for £££££ to say our daughter was young and impressionable and didn't mean to go to Turkey then onto Syria because its quite normal like going to magaluf.

Well if being of an opinion that the US government is absolute scum is enough to be deported you had better book me a one way trip to Syria then.

Having an issue with that bunch of retarded idiots who are so inwardly thinking that they only ever get involved in something when it serves them and their friends self-interest (and by self-interest that usually means their pockets) and who either jump in at the end and take all the credit or drag everyone else into their mess before bailing out half way through letting everyone else pick up the pieces doesn't to me enough to declare someone a terrorist.

Even this situation can be laid ultimately at the US's door. Blair dragged us into an illegal war in Iraq just so he could feel important by being Bush's lapdog and that made us a target while also both giving terrorist recruiters a tool to recruit while also increasing Islamophobia helping make young Muslims feel more isolated so ripe to be recruited by skilled manipulators

Don't know you Simon, but would never have had you down as a whinging lefty snowflake...!!
How can the US possibly be anywhere near as bad as Syria and it's ilk, they are the only ones that would likely help us after we have sleepwalked into the terror that will surely befall our land at some time in the future, the danger is already here in bucketfulls....

You are falling into the trap of believing that only entities that fit that traditional mould of 'bad guys' are the only ones who can be bad guys.

The US knew that as bad as Saddam Hussien was that he despised al-Qaeda yet they pressured Blair into providing them with incorrect information to give them an excuse to go into Iraq in response to 9/11 because doing so was going to be profitable for Bush's friends. Removing him from power with no plans left a power vacuum that first al-Qaeda and then ISIS used.

Even with Syria, they are using it as a dick measuring contest with Russia at the expense of the normal Syrian people who are basically finding themselves stuck in the middle of a proxy war between Russia and the US, a proxy war that again ISIS have used to their advantage. And when it comes to the fall out of displaced people they take in just 16k of the 6million before shutting the borders

If this was a crime movie the US would be the crime boss, sitting in his fancy house pulling the strings without a care of how his actions impact others while knowing he is safe as he is in the background with others being the face.

Book a ticket with the terrorist sympathisers dad, you might get a discount. In all fairness i can't disagree with what you say, religion and terrorism are just a smoke screen used by the worlds wealthiest people to protect their wealth and control the people. You can protest all you want but you won't beat the elite.

So do Russia get none of the blame for this? What about Iran? Syria has effectively been a client state/satrap of Iran for decades.

The demonstrations in Syria that occurred during the "Arab spring" were outside of US influence, during the subsequent civil war both the U.S and Russia played a prominent role, but it seems a lot of the funding for the Syrian government came from Iran and a lot of the funding for the myriad rebel groups came from Sunni gulf countries like Qatar and the Saudi's.

The U.S and Russia have played a significant role in the Middle East through their politicking but blame also needs to be laid at the feet of the local sectarian governments who have been cooking up the perfect storm for a civil war for decades.
