I thought you were the only ambitious one in these parts? After all of your previous posts, you're not settling for failure are you? Or are you suggesting something even bigger for when we are in the Championship? ;)

Be best to build a small 10k stadium and treble the season ticket price, reduce the numbers and increase the demand.

Howling at this thread. No wonder the club don't ask fans for advice on stuff. :joy:

It's just become post after post of people pointing out green areas of land in the Bradford district. Most of them, I'm guessing, within easy commute of their particular house.

However without figuring out where the spare £40m is coming from each of them might as well look like this.....

Bolton are under a transfer embargo, have no players for next season, their fans have turned on Keith Hill, they have a complete rebuild to do in the Summer with no money and no possibility of signing anyone under contract from anywhere else.

I think they're more likely to go down than up.

Good manager takes over shit team & fails, who'd have thought that? Hopefully we'll give SmC time to unshit our team.

It's always the same these days.

Bolton know full well they're going down, they've known it since day one of the season with the points deduction, they've known only an absolute miracle would keep them up, and they've known they've had a team of kids for a while too - but they STILL become unhappy with the grind of losing every week.

It's like Town when they had Wagner - miracle worker that fella, got them up, kept them up, but got sacked when they inevitably got relegated. It was always going to happen, no real serious chance of preventing it, but the fans turned on Wagner. In context, it's absolutely bonkers for Bolton to blame Keith Hill or Huddersfield to blame Wagner for not stopping what was always happening, but that weekly grind of loss, loss, loss, and then the manager's words don't resonate with the fans, the substitutions aren't as quick or as effective as fans want, and it just culminates in a sacking unfortunately.

Everyone says they'd love to see City in the Premier League again - but what if we picked up 10 points all season? I don't think there's a fan on here who would enjoy it. It's a nice thought that you can sit back and enjoy an achievement like that, but the only chance you've got is if it's a one off game - like Swansea at Wembley - otherwise, the frustration and the anger gets the better of people.

Sorry but Bolton do not have a team of kids, they did for the first 5/10 games, I think they’re underachieving this past 20 games with the players at their disposal - O’Grady, Murphy, Bunney, Hobbs, Lowe, Matthews, Nsiala, Crawford, Mellis. The list goes on - most have played Championship and at least league one.

I didn't say they had a team of kids now, I said they did for a while.

Those players might not be so bad, but most are on short term contracts and represent what was available on frees and loans with the season long since underway.

You could throw similar superlatives at our side last season too. A lot of Championship experience in the worst team we've ever assembled.

A few similarities with us and Bolton in that we, at least for now, are in perpetual decline. Both clubs will be better next season, can't not be really. Both suffering on the back of chancer owners.

How can you be in ‘perpetual’ decline, for ‘now’. Inherent contradiction! ;)

I think you could say ‘substantial’ decline.

We seem to be a ‘cyclical club’, which experiences a number of ups and downs.

Until we get rid of Rhodes and Rupp I don't see how we will be in a better position.

We should have been this season and so far it's been a massive let down.
