Under Lawn and Rhodes they were taking calculated risks spending more than they could afford to give the manager the best chance of succeeding and clawing some back if we didn’t they found the right manager who used the money wisely and we had a very good period with lots to shout out about.
Despite your constant prodding Rupp and therefore Rhodes isn’t going to put anymore money in so it’s up to the manager to over achieve or at least play to expectations.

Even a 5 year old knows that they is no money in owning a football club. Is he stupid? I don't think he is! Most owners own them to increase their business portfolio and increase their credibility.
For Rupp to get anything near his money back he needs to get us into div 1 and invest more.
I agree with your other points though mate.
I too think he should just sell the club now and just take the hit. He needs to leave.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Morley Bantam and Feats Don't Fail Me Now like this. -
Bradford City is a sad club.
The whole club feels sorry for itself all the time but I think it's an act. A Rhodes act! So fans don't go above their station. A way of trying to control expectations!
Bradford Council acts in the same way!
Fans need to start putting pressure on the owner, CEO, directors etc because at this moment we getting treated like mugs. Stop making excuses for Rupp.. he either puts up or leaves! It's simple really!
Bradford City is a dream killer of a club now. Soon as you suggest something it's always impossible.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...BingleyBantam and The Evidence like this. -

You might say that if it's so easy why isn't everyone doing it. Some clubs developing better infrastructure than us, Shrewsbury, Accrington, Fleetwood, even Posh etc, are making themselves sustainable and although they're in front of us just now, we'll always have a larger pool of fans to attract. If we were to invest properly and make it work we can leapfrog them quite easily.

We have well connected members frequenting this board, maybe they could raise the question many fans are asking.....what’s the plan?

'affordable football' make it £50 a season ticket if you want it to be affordable for everyone.
I think @Dennis is spot on that when we started this it should have for a few years only and reasons why. Now it's £149 and we see no improvement on or off the pitch. Nothing, is outlined.
So, we now have fans that won't renew at £149 and when the prices do go back up it will be difficult to get them back.
Being the cheapest season ticket price in the country means nothing if you can't attract fans from outside the area anyway.

What I want to know with some urgency from the club is this; What are our ambitions? If we have any, how do we intend to implement our ambitions? What kind of timescales? What are the risks to achievement? How as fans can we support the club? How will the fans requirements as customers be addressed?
As far as ticket prices are concerned the old adage is “you get what you pay for” we have extremely cheap tickets, which I am now witnessing on the football pitch. Not the only reason, we have had some exceptionally poor decision making over the last three years.
I have been supporting Bradford City since 1967. I have been a Season Ticket holder for decades. I promise you The Board I cannot watch this much longer. Will I buy a Season Ticket next year, don’t know at the moment, but I will need to see movement on the questions I asked above and I want see intent to support the manager in the up and coming season. I want to see the very best scouts employed and backroom staff to assist the manager.Inspector and ConnecticutBantam like this. -

Just look at the high street where the one pound stores are thriving but big brands like M&S and Debenhams are struggling. And supermarkets where big names such as Morrison and Tesco are producing poor results whist pile it high sell it cheap shops such as Aldi and Liddle are expanding rapidly.
Whilst we are bottom of the pile keep it affordable and as we rise let prices do the sameStop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Brackenrigg and Bronco like this. -

They were maintained at a similar price in the following season and we sold just over 11,000.
We certainly missed a trick in 2013/14 when we were in Div 1 when we kept the prices the same as the previous season in Div 2. In 2013/14 we paid the same for arguably better football. I really don't understand the logic of not increasing prices having been promoted! -

Please identify the site with the transport links in Shipley?
How many acres of land do you think are required, to accomodate the pitch, four stands, access land around the stadium (at least a broad road width all the way round, to accomodate emergency access), offices, park and ride drop off bus terminals, disabled parking, and of course cycle storeage.
There you have it, 'pie in the sky thinking'.
More than happy for you to objectively identify this site, rather than a 'sound bite', throwaway comment. -
Its a good debate. I don't have the answer but feel like something needs to be done and a plan put in place as soon as possible.
Could cheap tickets gradually be increased to increase the player budget or go towards increasing the potential within out youth set up?
Long term do we have a plan in place once the ground rent is up?
Do we have a belief that Stuart can take us forward and look further than his 18 months onward? Will he be given a similar budget to Bowyer?
The training ground has been done to death - can't see that changing.
The communication with fans - the current meetings with Ryan are a small way that they are trying but it sometimes feels like we get politician obvious answers to many of the questions and no real substance or worth.
Are they even looking to the future with Rupp obviously wanting out?
Would a proper fans forum help and bring some hope back to fans?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
Weall know we simply mean ‘give’ as we all know it isn’t really an investment with any hope of getting a true ‘’return’
Or
How about we, the fans, take the first step and ‘invest’ by telling the club we want to pay more for our season tickets ?
Now there is a positive, leading, ambitious step.
Who is with me?
