I live a fair distance away. Like a significant number I travel over on the M62. So another half an hour trying to get to Baildon, where there will be little parking may well be the ‘final straw’.

Closer to £50mill for a 25,000 capacity modern stadium... and a site of around 4-5 hectares (or 10-12 acres in old money) to house it. But I'm sure @Bigrod@Bigrod is on that particular case ;)

I thought you were the only ambitious one in these parts? After all of your previous posts, you're not settling for failure are you? Or are you suggesting something even bigger for when we are in the Championship? ;)

The most successful clubs are the ones with a long term plan, they may have various setbacks over that time such as a relegation, especially when you've over achieved, but when the dust settles these clubs will be either near or above their target.
Our most successful period of late was all down to our management having a plan and Lawn and Rhodes buying into it. Parkinson kept it simple and the budget was put into the first team.
Football isn't rocket science. Probably the most simple sport out there. Now down to McCall and Black showing Rupp what their plan is and for him to say how far he will back it.

The two numbers were juxtaposed. Its a proposed 14,000 capacity stadium costing £21mill! It's an easy mistake to make ;)

I still don't think Rhodes needs to leave, he's perfectly capable of making sure we have a decent bottom line, you know what I think we need to add though I've said it enough times: DoF.

money isn't just needed for on the pitch improvements, behind the scenes are shocking enough too. a playing squad isn't the only cost for a football club.

Rahic actually talked a good game but had no idea how to run a bath never mind a football club. In truth he had no real plan at all, just what he'd seen playing football manager on the PC.
Worst thing about all this is without some sort of plan a long spell in league 2 looks a possibility. But then I guess that fits in with the rest of the ethos of a City slowly falling apart at the seams, throw in a failing rugby side with no stadium and a council not fit for purpose, the football is just a symbol of what is going on around it.

Problem is though, is that without Rupps backing, Stuart’s list for the summer means nothing. It’s time for Rupp to stop playing God and decide if he’s going to back us or leave us. I sincerely hope that when Stuart signed his contract, it was based on funds being put into the club to enable him to do a job next season.

You could sight Fleetwood as a good example, a well run club with an owner who has a plan. Very little in terms of support but financially backed by the owner. Coventry high up whilst playing in another City another example. Truth is we still have some way to go to rid this club of the Rahic era, only then can we even try to move forward. Problem is the whole ethos built up around the club has gone could quite easily never come back.

Why would you want to spend £1m on something that will never be yours....?

Why shouldn't we have that potential as a large city? Jealously looking over our shoulder at our much more successful neighbour city doesn't help. It should inspire us.

What's the alternative? Id like to see more - buying back the ground, or building new one.

Plodding along like we are, is more likely to see the club die than succeed

This is spot on. I've argued before that the affluent middle class has largely deserted Bradford. I have an association with a fabulously rich person, a City supporter all his life, Bradford born and bred, who would be an ideal candidate to be part of a consortium to take over the club. I discovered to my horror a couple of weeks ago that he now has a season ticket at Leeds United. All Bradford's sporting clubs are in long term decline and I can't see where the incentive would be to invest in our club which is rapidly becoming a basket case after years of flawed decision making.
