I have faith in Hopkin as what he has inherited at City would test any manager.

He's playing a game of monopoly and has been given other people's properties and we're now Old Kent Road.

Just about everything that could go wrong has. Ridiculous injuries including forgotten players, they've been out so long. Suspensions through player indiscipline and poor ref decisions has all culminated in a crisis situation.Players coming back and being injured again!

Give us a break, get our full squad back and add Hopkin's Jan window recruitment, assuming the promises are kept and I think we will crawl out of the mire and finish lower half of table.

Maybe not the best of quotes, I understood when Marcus Evans bought Ipswich he made money available so Id have thought Ipswich would have been play off contenders.
With regards being carefull what we wish for IMO very few were unhappy with the way Stuart and the club were going/playing, once again Edin though he knew best as its turned out another poor call from the owners.

Good to see some optimism. And I agree, I think there is the makings of a decent side in there but Hopkin hasn't had them all readily available at one time so we're relying on the dross. I don't believe for one second that Josh Wright is Hopkin's type of player. Even when everyone is fit we need a focal point up front for the likes of Payne, Ball, Scannell to feed off/aim at. I'm sure this and possibly a centre back is Hopkin's priority. As will be getting Jim O'Brien fit.

My concern is whether all this comes too late. Lose tomorrow and we are already being cut adrift with some tough fixtures to come. The aim has to be keeping in touch for the next month or so until we can strengthen.

Let's see what funds are made avialble for recruitment in January, because word doing the rounds is the club don't have any money left and Stefan won't subsidise the club any more.

So what you are trying to say is David needs to land on a chance square and draw a 'get out of jail free' card?

Unfortunately, when you are bottom all fixtures are tough.Like you say,we need to do enough to hang on until Jan and hope for some quality additions or bookies will stop taking bets on relegation!

Let's hope we do have funds Bronco, as I can't see where we can sell and recruit with better players. Still having issues with this being statistically the worst start to a season in our history!

If we get Nile Ranger it could be the reason we need that card!

It would be nice to think we could stay in contention until January but Im seeing basic defensive mistakes costing us every game.

There is an overwhelming sense of failure about the place.Fans are staying away, those that go probably don't expect a goal never mind a win and the question is do the players feel the same?

Hopkin has been up against it since he walked in and for me is yet to get a fair crack at it. Poor out of form players, major injuries and the aggro between fans and owners. The worst thing that could happen right now would be if Hopkin left. I think he’s a good coach and a decent enough manager. He needs to battle through until January and he also needs some luck with the injuries off the pitch.

Yes we have major issues with the owners but we need to back the gaffer. It’s absolutely key that we are still in touch with those teams in and around the drop zone come January. We’re not totally adrift and finished, there is still hope. As the old saying goes “the darkest hour is just before the dawn”.

Well if we try to close the back door then we might not let goals in.

I know but playing open football isn't going to help at this minute.

Our forwards are rubbish as well.

Well if you think that this team can defend for 90 minutes. . . . good luck. Just expect constant wave after wave after wave of attacking pressure going at them. Why would it be any different, we've no one who can hold the ball up.
Like Coventry, they might hold out for a minute.

Absolutely. Whilst it is difficult to see where the next point is going to come from at the moment, let's not forget that there's still 93 of the little buggers to play for so I'm certainly not throwing in the towel just yet.

In his early games there were definitely signs of improvement no doubt. The players were buying into what he wanted to do. I still think that is the case however silly individual mistakes are costing us as well as our failure to hit the back of the net. Also what he managed to do at Livingston was nothing short of a miracle. So either he’s a talented coach/manager or he’s a very lucky one. Now based on the luck we’ve had since he came in I’d go with the former.
