Best overall team performance ive seen for a long time. Ismail looks some player for tbis level. Special mention to Cooke. We have looked far better since he has come into the team, and I thought he was outstanding today alongside Alpan, who had best home performance since joining us.
Very hard working performance from Captain Clayton, who deserved a goal for his efforts.

Usual positive comments from Mr Ford, we won the game against a team who had not lost away all season and you still find something to bitch about, lets savor a good win (could have been by more) and move onto Morceambe, no need to start saying certain players were bab over all it was a good day at the office.

Yes you are blinkered. Credit where it is due, he deserved his standing ovation when substituted. Best display Ive seen from him. Complimented Cooke well today. Lets hope it wasnt a flash in the akpan, and can cement his place in the team in the absense of Palmer

    Mellor a 3?!

That's a silly overreaction possibly based on over scrutinising him after a couple of poor games.

He made one really poor mistake today, that could have led to a goal, but we got away with it.

Aside from that, he simply was nowhere near bad enough for a 3.

    Silly rating.

He won two superb headers in injury time when we were under the cosh. Also, Swindon created nothing of note down their left so to give him a 3 is at best incredibly harsh and at worst, pretty daft.

Don't get me wrong, he wasn't superb but he was no where near as poor as you're trying to make out.

    Agreed. The line up should be;

    O'D
    H
    W
    O'C
    O'C
    P
    C
    A
    C
    O
    D

We should have enough with that lot to get a positive result. Especially considering D can't play for them.

    I agree.

I just don't get the rampant negativity. We have had two years of s**t and now we are looking half decent some people are desperate to find anyone they can criticise. Talk about glass half empty!

The lads need our support not being ripped apart even when we win and they score.

    I just don't get it.

Adapting systems and formations every week with players at this level is a sure fire way to exit the division. Only not in the direction we'd want! Limited players, such as those in the bottom division need stability and a clear defined role that hopefully exploits their strengths.

We all saw at Crewe how the two "wingbacks" struggled and that was purely because it was unfamiliar.

There's a reason we have been getting results (if not performances yet) with 442 and that's because we are now seeing a settled system that the players selected are becoming comfortable with. Chopping and changing that will only lead to confusion and require further bedding in periods where results will clearly be mixed.

Well I hope we win tomorrow. I am up in the posh seats, celebrating with my family on my 70th Birthday.

I haven’t seen much of our on loan young striker, does he show any promise and will he get an outing tomorrow? Sorry haven’t read any threads for sometime.

Anthony o connor superb today, never missed an header. Going a long way to put last year behind him, and whilst i gave him flack for it i tip my hat to him today.

As a side note the next run of matches are morecambe (a) , crawley (h), port vale (h) and macclesfield (a). Surely a month to make a statement

Most complete performance of the season for me today. Formation switching between 433 and 4231 worked a treat - we dominated the ball at times and their midfield didn't have a sniff. Swindon were absolute dog shit by the way, was expecting a much harder game but it was a comfortable win and the game would've been done by HT if the crossing was better.

Biggest homer ref I've seen for ages but it's about time given the absolute stinkers we have every week.

Shouts to AOC and Akpan, very good today. Let's hope akpan can keep that level of performance up and it's not just a flash in the pan.

The fact that forest green are top of the league Tells you all you need to know about this division.

They were truly dreadful at our place, yet came away with 3 points, purely through spoiling and fortune. I’ll show my arse if they finish above us. We are nailed on for a top 3 spot. Once we find consistency, which we will, we will be unstoppable. There is nobody with a better squad in this division, and for that I applaud bowyer.

Make no mistake, the job he had turning us around was one of the toughest in the football league.

Get good players in, and the formation isnt really an issue.

Cooke has made a huge difference.

Really enjoyable match everyone had a decent game today the effort put in was immense. We made Swindon look very average.

Delighted for Shay I thought he might have been peed off at not getting a start but that's how you let the manager know you want in the team.

I've been pretty scathing of Akpan and I still feel he deserved it but today he impressed and if he keeps going like that he can cup his ear in my face.

Yeah I did, it worked well. I'm not sure we created as much as we would have liked but I'm happy to hold my hands up, it was a good performance and the system worked well against a decent side.

I thought Cooke was superb at the base, his ball retention was exactly what we've been missing in some games and both Akpan and Pritchard worked their balls off both defending and supporting Donaldson when needed.
