    A bit early to be concerned about Scannell. Yes he has been a little below par in the last two matches but he did score a great goal against Oldham and looked decent in his two substitute appearances. I think he will have a big part of our season if he remains fit

    Don't forget the wooden stadium they're trying to build which was refused planning permission for no real obvious reason

    Hope they win the appeal

    Forest Green are not my second favourite team or anything like that, but when they first appeared in the conference i thought where the hell is Forest Green?
    Near Stroud, Gloucs is the answer, deep in the rugby union heartland of Bath/Gloucester and Bristol.
    Survives on crowds of over 2,000-@Dennis how do they put together a squad to get to the playoffs with the FFP rules?

    Rich owner with deep pockets.
    Rich owner that wants to build an "Eco-Park" for a cool £100 million and employ 4,000 people.
    Local council are having a few problems with this.

    I agree, they've scored in every game so far this season but only scored once. Think our defense will be one of the best in the league tbh! Plus we have vaughan and donaldo up front so im confident with this game! Especially if we get devitt or buckley in!

    I watched Forest green play Carlisle last season,which was quite depressing at the time as I knew we'd likely be in league two with at least one of them by the end of the season.
    This was about the April time and was a big game for the two teams as they were both in and around the play offs.

    Now it was only one game but if they were both good league two sides I really don't think there are many, if any, teams we should fear at home even with our flimsy midfield.

    I'm in the posh seats for this one....youngest's 12 birthday so going in hospitality for a meal before the game and a comfy padded seat!! Hopefully should be better than a year ago when we did the same for the Wycombe game, padded cell for that one...best thing about that game was Michelle Keegan in the lounge....optimistic, can see us winning again.

    They conceded 2 poor goals from crosses on Tuesday night so Wood’s delivery could be key again.

    I believe they will play similar to Stevenage, decent on the ball and may edge possession but I expect our front line to bag at least couple

    Might not be pretty but 3-1 to city

    Assuming Henley is out, do we stick with Wood at LW and play Longridge? Not seen Longridge play so can’t really comment on whether he is up to the challenge or not.

    The alternative would be to play Wood at LB but then who plays LW? Our lack of a LW is causing an issue here.

    Hopefully Forest Green will have one eye on their League Cup tie at Bournemouth, which is next mid week, and be a bit off it tomorrow.

    I wonder if Saturday will be the 5th episode of "The curious and baffling disappearance of Mr Zeli Ismail"?

    If he were to reappear and even play on the right then perhaps Scannell could take the left?

    Apparently Cooke is a ‘left sided’ midfielder’ but not an out and out winger. He may well take the left midfield slot. If his defensive qualities are correct, then this would allow Wood to perhaps make overlapping runs and still get the crosses in.

    I think it'll be 433. Cooke will come in next to Devine and Palmer, Wood at left back, Donaldson and Scannell either side of Vaughan.
