Well we were on the break and then got called back for an offside in our own half then they scored

A completely self inflicted loss. EVERY home game we play this season we should be on the front foot, pressing high and taking the game to the opposition. And if its 433 then its should be 433, not 451.

JV was offside but the free kick is taken where the ball is touched.

 

Vaughan was fine. As was BRE. In fact I'm not going to stick it in on anyone other than Akpan. The problem was the tactics. It's on Bowyer.

 

Says it all, Feels sorry for the players let own by poor tactics, team selection and a formation that gave the opposition the advantage, He must do better than this or we will get nowhere

 

The Radio Leeds commentator embarrassing himself by not knowing the "new" offside rule which have been in effect since McCall was manager was the highlight of the game for me.

 

In other news Josh Wright scored his 3rd of the season. First Doyle, now him. Both scored more than Vaughan.

We really are a graveyard for some players and embarrassing how we cannot unlock their potential.

 

I'm gonna say I thought BRE was fortunate at the end when he pulled up the FGR player and then reacted. When the linesman came across I feared the worse.

BTW, did anybody notice when they scored and BRE walloped the ball into the E block in the main stand, the guy in grey tshirt 4 rows up, looked to take the full extent of the ball.

 

Absolutely no idea what Bowyer sees in this set up.

It's not looked good in any game that we've played so far.

Only person at fault today was bowyer!! Woeful tactics we played like an away team! We have the two best strikers in this league and don’t play to there strengths! Donaldson is 36 years old not a right/left winger fgs!! They both had great games against Oldham because they played together!!

 

About time he was taken to task and made to explain his reasonings. Hopefully someone at radio Leeds has the spuds

 

Dave, JV was offside within the FGR half and as he came back to collect the ball, the offence /free kick is awarded when he touched the ball. Hence in our half.

Their was a similar situation a few years ago when a free kick was awarded in our own half but Macca clarified after the midweek game, that it was a correct ruling.

 

I thought the play only involved Vaughan Cook and Devitt, apologies.

I'm also convinced that Bowyer caught his wife in bed with 4-4-2, just inexplicable to invite pressure and let the opponent put on a showcase at OUR OWN GROUND. We lost to an absolutely abysmal side. Why Akpan starts I will never know, he's dreadful and if I win the lottery I will pay that twats compo so that I never have to see him attempt to kick a ball ever again

 

That wasn't an issue for me. He was coming back from an offside position and that's where he touched the ball (that's the rules) but the rest of the game he was a joke, but so were GB's tactics.
