I'm still absolutely livid we played three defensive mids at home. What on earth was he thinking?

Useless information part 94- Forest Green have the smallest settlement(nailsworth) that hosts a League club.
Run by a veggie/vegan/vulcan who is into green energy, so a club that is a little bit different from the norm.

Made the playoffs last season and also got screwed by bolton not paying £1 million fee for their star striker.
Which would of helped them re-invest in the team.
Expect this team to give us our toughest test yet, so 3 points will have to be well earned.

 

What I don't understand why a professional football manager couldn't see how we were asking Doyle to play was not his game.
For all the critism he got on here we never offered the guy that option yet slammed him for being lazy blah blah blah.

 

Totally agree, but I don't think the officiating can go without a mention, it's probably the worst I've ever seen. Like you say, not good enough from us.

 

Blame the ref as much as you want but a shocking call by GB. 'Front' 3 isolated. Midfield 2, Akpan doesn't count, overrun by their press and energy. Full backs rarely pushed on.

Says it all, Feels sorry for the players let own by poor tactics, team selection and a formation that gave the opposition the advantage, He must do better than this or we will get nowhere

 

Only person at fault today was bowyer!! Woeful tactics we played like an away team! We have the two best strikers in this league and don’t play to there strengths! Donaldson is 36 years old not a right/left winger fgs!! They both had great games against Oldham because they played together!!

We could easily have won that game 3-0 and been top.

And all that DESPITE the referee.

FGR play like that all the time and that's why they have very few fans.

 

What’s strange to me is playing 4-4-3 with personnel (Akpan & Devine) who couldn’t adapt to it last season, yet he puts them in again, in front of two players who I assume have been brought in to play said formation. Unless he’s trying to put Akpan in the shop window, why would you continually pick a player who’s going backwards quicker than Aaron Maclean.

If he’s trying to keep morale up by not putting the new players straight in, then he’s running the risk of turning the fans against him.

You brought them in, be brave enough to put them in.

 

I think it'll be 433. Cooke will come in next to Devine and Palmer, Wood at left back, Donaldson and Scannell either side of Vaughan.

 

Yes but rather than a traditional marching band formation they like to play in a 442 formation as much as possible.

 

This ref is diabolical... must be a vegan...

This is simply not good enough Bowyer. You’ve had backing and the performances aren’t there.

 

Absolutely infuriating. Who the hell does Bowyer think he is? His ego is out of control. We can all see a 442 is our best hope but why can't he?

 

Vaughan was fine. As was BRE. In fact I'm not going to stick it in on anyone other than Akpan. The problem was the tactics. It's on Bowyer.

 

Their players were awful sportsmen. Completely cheating, weak and snake like. FGR are despicable and i hope they fail.

 

Vaughan up front on his own is the main reason.

 

They have very few fans because they are based in a tiny town in the Rugby Union heartlands not because they master sportsmanship. What a ridiculous statement.
