Just seen this, its exactly what it was. Not much more Oteh can do when the keeper has left him with very little space.

 

Last thing, beer induced thinking, but why did a lot of Crawley fans stand up throughout the game?

I can only comment on the video clip he did everything right except beat the keeper hence my "looks like all strikers miss sitters" 3 - 0 game over, it was bad enough following the last 10 minutes on all the programes I could open, must have been sqeaky bum time for you lads watching it in real time.

 

Crawley were lively opponents. You could see how they score every game. When the chant Gary Gary give is a wave that God awful song went up It seemed to give Crawley extra impetus. It might just be me but some seem to think it is smart. It only smacks of arrogance and over confidence and any team worth their salt will dig and and say can you hear them and redouble their efforts. I cringe every time I hear it as it gives the opponent an opportunity to say feck you lot.

I think @Farsley Bantam reckons we should have scored more in the first half......

 

Thought McCartan did very little when he came on so, I'd keep Oteh in the team.

 

No it’s not you Bantam4ever get well soon it’s me. When I go to the loo during play city score, I missed two goals at Chelsea . So travelling to Macclesfield with the Corn Dolly we should win 4-0

Only skipped through the last few pages so may have missed if someone else has mentioned this, but how bleeding frustrating were the last 15 mins? In particular, it seemed as soon as we won possession in defence, it was just aimlessly hoofed up field straight to a Crawley player, just for them to hit us with another attack. BRE was the main culprit, the uncoollest head on the pitch. One thing I absolutely detest seeing at home games is camping deep, it just invites pressure on in abundance. I really don’t get it. We’re the home team, flying high in the league, against an average team. Be more positive GB!!

Easier said than done. The damage was done at half time with Pritchard going off. Injuries had robbed us of key personnel to the system Bowyer wants to play. With the likes of Connolly, Donaldo, Devitt, and now possibly Pritchard, the system that showed us the performance of the season against Swindon now lacks some of the vital ingredients. Probably gonna have to tough out the next few weeks with dogged rather than fluent football.

Not sure why you’re blaming Bowyer for it, listen to his after match interview. He said he was screaming at the players to maintain a higher line, but it isn’t FIFA he can only instruct not control them. I doubt any manager when they’re winning says let’s stop doing what got us into a winning position and just invite pressure on.
