I don't know who else he payed for besides Barrow but that's the issue until the FA say one way or the other.

He was training with Bury prior to Barrow. Obviously they did not play any games this season, but might they have held his registration? Could that complicate things?

 

Not sure how they could hold his registration as a professional (at the time) club if he hadn't signed a contract Wouldn't they be mutually inclusive?

 

We continue to win and although I don’t feel like we have played a team off of the park as such yet, we are getting into a really good habit of winning games.

this league as we know is a slog and this start could be the platform to go on and get 80+ points which would see us right up there. Fantastic start and another win.
Are we ever really gonna dominate games at this level with this side? Probably not, so just going to enjoy the 3 points we keep picking up. Long may it continue.
A win Tuesday and we this would be the best start I can remember?

 

Yes Simon Parker said it was a foul the other way but as I posted someone the other day said this the ref was card happy, by all means get a yellow for breaking an atracking move down but I've not seen many referees change their minds because a player gives him earache.
I know its part of his game a little like Tony McMhoan but he has been in the game long enough to know when to get in the referees ear and when not to.

 

As @Faithful Bantam says I'd suggest it was fitness related. All the signings have spent time on the bench before starting - Devitt, Cooke etc, it's BowyerS way.

Still, hasn't prevented the injuries tho!

It was said on commentary that he's 24. Seems very young if true. I do prefer a ref/lino/manager/coach who's played the game a bit and know some of the tricks rather than someone who's watched on from the sidelines and "knows the laws of the game". Good referring is a bit of an art and the best ones are a but more pragmatic and level headed in my experience.

 

I wouldnt think as a no-contracted player who plays in a friendly as a trialist that should not be classed as a first team game.
Earlier this season didn't we field nearly a full team of trialists ?.

 

Well that was a game of 2 halves.

A bit worried that once Pritchard went off we looked a completely different team.

We defended well but panicked and sat too deep.

Credit to Crawley for having a go.

Injuries are now biting hard and a few more and we will be having to play Anderson and Patrick. Gulp.

 

Impressed with Crawley to be honest . One of , if not the best side down at VP so far and even in the first half you could see why they had scored in every league this season. ROD seemed the busier keeper and certainly earned us two points with that save at the end.

 

Agree, wouldn't be at all surprised to see them in at least a play off spot come the end of the season.

Well, let's hope they play well on Tuesday although a trip to us and then a trek to Newport isn't exactly fun.

 

Someone post as much midweek their forwards can score but their defence is suspect.

 

Got down their left at relative ease first half. I feel they were very poor in shape and uncomfortable, with some questionable clearances, as attack after attack came from ourselves.

Improved second but was that a symptom of our lack of control central and that we kept dropping back in yards, losing control of possession far too easily?

 

Although BRE did come back in A O'Connor kept his place and rightly so.

Also for the Messi link when he came back from injury Barca did bench him to start with so goes to prove even the best don't walk straight back in.

Poor RoD. Look how pi&&ed off he was when they scored! No clean sheet bonus for 6 games!

 

First 40 mins we battered them and could have been 2/3 up at HT. After a bright start in the 2nd half and going 2-0 up we then sat back which made them look better than they were plus not forgetting oteh miss. We made hard work of a game won after 55 mins.
