Probably a case of him playing catch up in terms of fitness. Maybe he needs a couple of weeks tough training before hes in conten tion

 

Nobody stood out today, certainly no one over a seven out of ten. I thought Cooke was quiet today by his standards, some of his passing was laboured as well.

 

I hope there has not been an issue about playing for more than 2 teams in the same season. He was just training with Barrow but did appear for them in the Lancashire Cup. I don't know the rules in enough detail to know if that counts as playing for the team, but you would hope City did before signing him.

 

Cooke was just good without excelling. Exactly what he needs to be. Bit overhyped lately though.

 

Maybe giving him a few days to get up to speed, i’d expect to see him in the squad on Tuesday.

 

Looked to me like it was Vaughan who was fouled and the booking was for dissent when the ref didn't give it.
There were four or five fouls against us in about ten minutes that the ref didn't penalise.

 

Hes our only midfield who can midfield though.

 

It would 100% a City thing to do, to sign a player we cant play.

 

He has to learn to reign it in, the ref ain’t gonna change his mind. He put in a shift today with little reward.

Zeli gets a huge shout from me today, his cross for Pritchard to score and what a pass to set up Oteh in the second half,such a shame he didnt blast it into the net.

Nah your big number 9s are all about scoring goals you should know that, not the grafting for team mates any big lad can play that game .

 

That was the problem - he did blast it. Needed a dink and it would have gone in.

Apparently he played for Barrow in a freindly and that doesn't allow him to play for us, I believe the FA are looking into it.

 

It's not an issue if he's played for Barrow in an offfical FA fixture anyway. Woulnd't preclude him playing for us

I would suggest he hasn't as he's only signed a contract upto mid Jan.
If he has played for Barrow in an offical fixture that count's and then play's for us and we dont renew the contract he then couldn't play for anyone else until 1st July next year

Doyle played with us in the early part of the season (August) and now obviously playing with Swindon.
