Watching City is like watching a Boris Johnson press conference.
You know whats coming, you know you're going to be tearing your hair out at the futility of whats in front of you, and even with promises of it all being 'for your own good' there's an undercurrent of incompetence that undermines everything. And more and more people are starting to see through it all.

I don't give a toss where we were in the 60's, 70's, 80's, the fact is the infrastructure we have is the stuff of envy from most of the clubs in League Two, they are tiny little teams from small towns with capacities of less than 10,000 in the case of more than half the teams.
All those seasons before the Richmond era don't really count when we've had the kind of shot in the arm some of these clubs can, and will, only ever be able to dream about.
We're the privileged few who have been to the Premier League, we have been to a cup final lately, we have gone to massive Premier League sides and beaten them, those are the kinds of stories these clubs dream about to set them up for generations to come.
I'm not having it.
If people at the club are trying to convince us this club cannot be sold on it's own merits, they're as dumb as rocks. We are the best, cheapest option outside of a club that could be sold for £1 on the back of tens of millions of debt.
I get annoyed reading posts like this, people have posted this crap for years now, about how we're a proper lower league side - no, we WERE a proper lower league side, now we're a side who wouldn't need a penny of investment in any area of the club in order to be able to establish ourselves - COMFORTABLY - as a lower end Championship team. Don't get me wrong, if we got there, we'd soon need to turn our eye to the training facilities, which aren't good enough at THAT level, but they'll probably do us until we get there.
Our fans need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves and denigrating the club. Bolton do have better infrastructure than us, but they didn't struggle to find investment one bit and will be back in the Championship within five years. Where will we be? In our division there's Swindon and Oldham.
There's a fair few in League One, granted, but there's a lot who have never been there or even come close.
We can't keep comparing ourselves to those sides and acting like it's okay that we're a division below Morecambe, Accrington, AFC Wimbledon, Fleetwood, Cheltenham, and several others.
It's not okay.
In the cases of Swindon and Oldham they simply weren't able to invest massively in their stadia, so there's little left to set them apart from any other League One/Two side. If they got to the Championship, they'd have to invest heavily.
I get your point, and wasn't trying to be aggressive to @Park bantam, who is a great poster, but let's be real about it. Cheap tickets isn't the perennial excuse to deny the potential this club has, even if some are desperate for Bradford City to be martyrs to a working class economy.
Screw that.
Tell me Blackpool is a much nicer, more privileged place than Bradford. Tell me Preston or Burnley are Northern Superpowers. Barnsley FFS. LUTON TOWN.

Its almost as if building a squad with shite attacking players will result in you not scoring many goals or winning many games....

Can only echo the levels of apathy towards the team at the moment. But while Adams takes his fair share of responsibility for that, last night was yet another example of how timid this set of players are by the fact they nearly lost a game to a team that was blatantly happy for a draw. Even our attempts at cynical fouls look pathetic. So you can understand why Adams has been setting us up in a cautious way.
There's some good in this team but they really need a few b*stards to keep them in line during a match. Tranmere was another example of it, a fantastically well worked goal but the game management and intelligence on the pitch after that was non-existent. For many years Bradford City was all about being able to give anyone a game through pure mettle, we have been the complete antithesis of that for far too long now. No wonder the turnout and atmosphere was poor last night, I don't think the players believe in themselves so it's no surprise that the fans don't either.Inspector, borderlescott, Idlebantam and 3 others like this. -

It was poor. Again. Can’t beat a poor Colchester side that anyone worth their salt will beat. It’s so depressing. Despite all this continually changing our manager over the past few season has made us a basket case club with no long term strategy. This has to stop and we need to give a manager, Adams in this case some time to implement his strategy assuming he has one. Frankly it’s painfully slow plodding football in the main but we have to stick with someone and give them some time to build. The last half a dozen managers have all failed and been fired. That hasn’t worked. Many on here want the same again assuming this will magically make these players improve markedly. I can’t see how. However I’m sick of the lack of entertainment as I assume are half of the Season Ticket holders who didn’t bother to attend tonight and that is dangerous.

The City marketing team is doing its best to drum up support for the xmas period offer whereas the footballing team is doing the quite opposite. What a bizarre combination.
Didn't go to this game as couldnt be arsed and now feels like a great decision reading the comments on here.
In fact I don't feel I am missing out at all not wanting to go to any more games this season. Lets face facts the January window is not going to produce these players we can all see we need. Hope I am proved wrong, I really do.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...The Evidence, Craven Koppite, Kopendin1964 and 2 others like this. -
I wish someone would tell the players that we've had no success with long throws and maybe, once in a while try a short one. Can't these players think for themselves?
