Watching City is like watching a Boris Johnson press conference.

You know whats coming, you know you're going to be tearing your hair out at the futility of whats in front of you, and even with promises of it all being 'for your own good' there's an undercurrent of incompetence that undermines everything. And more and more people are starting to see through it all.

 

Someone's just said the players don't want it enough.
Wholeheartedly agree they appear to go through the motions and have done all season.

 

Another example where our second half performance performance has been appalling and a stark contrast versus the first.

Against a decent team i fear we lose that game and cannot understand how the players cannot manage a game and go from starting decent, to looking absolutely clueless, time and time again.

Personally, I just think too many of them aren't good enough. 'Wanting it more' is banded around too easily. Its a cop out.

 

Back if every game from now on depending who we sign in January.

Looks like a number of players who know their time is nearly up at the club. Could it be there’s a bad feeling amongst some of the playing squad who know the manager doesn’t fancy them and likely will be on their way?

 

Just got back,first 15 or 20 mins was alright but after that we were awful and Colchester should have won it in second half.

who knows but it’s a poor show if Adams can’t get them motivated enough. Maybe his whole efforts are enough to get a point until he gets some more bodies in? Lost with it all at the minute.

what another complete pathetic waste of a season by everyone in charge of this club. What don’t they get? When will they realise you can’t pick and choose when you get promoted? There are 23 other teams in the league who ultimately want the same.

This squad of players are incapable of playing out 90 minutes. Frankly it's becoming embarrassing. Apologies to Colchester fans, you're the worst side we've played this season but your lads were still nous enough to come away with a point. Woeful. Just woeful.

If City are relying on bringing in a few young loanees in Jan then the Lord help us as this team is an insult to average.

I mean 1st half we looked good but the 2nd nothing if note at all then again if your like looking for subs to change the game and you bring Evans and Lavery on then you ain’t gonna do much are you ???

You've nailed it. Overall, we lack quality.

No flair, no inventiveness that creates space or suddenly changes the direction of play. We are too predictable and easy to defend against.

That 'shot' from Lee Angol towards the end of the game was a prime example. Similarly, on the edge of our penalty area the ball came to Gareth Evans, it bounced off him about ten yards. We need better than that at League 2 level.

I wish people would stop saying this about we were good for 30 mins or 45 mins. So what? a game is 90 minutes long and unless you’re at it for 90 minutes you will not win many football matches. At any level.

It’s not good enough. Blame the players all you want with Adams but he’s not got long left for that excuse to work. The fixtures get much harder again in January. Let’s see how many wins we get then
