Your right Bronco we played very well in the first half with Connolly frightening their defence to death the full backs got forward for the width with a bit of luck we could have been three up. We wilted a bit in the second maybe to do with the fact most of the team missed the week’s training with illness.Nobody could say today was a boring match

First visit to Valley Parade since October.

I thought we were excellent for much of the first half. Mellor scores with the header and I think Salford would have crumbled. We showed some great movement and inventiveness early on. Salford were letting us have a lot of the ball and they struggled to cope.

We scored a terrific goal and then we seemed to struggle once Salford pushed up and gave us less time on the ball.

A very frustrating result because we did everything right for a while. First time I've seen Reeves since he came back and he looks like the player our midfield has been missing.

I can understand fans frustration but overall we bossed the game but fortunately our Achillies heel of not being able to kill teams off struck again.
Imagine the Swindon fans weren't happy 2 - 0 up and conceding an equaliser in the 90+5 minute ;).

It was very frustrating for Reeves the number of times he had the ball at his feet and had time to look around and was clearly gesturing for someone to make space for a pass, at times it was embarrassing as other players didn't seem to have the confidence to break forward.

Anything above mid table is a bonus after last season. If anything we're probably exceeding expectations.

Just let me check this ? We have just been held to a draw at home by Salford ?

How poor was that overall today ? Forget the chances that we so poorly failed to convert ? Its taking those chances that count in football and we just can't ?. Do we get points for missing chances ? If not then it doesnt matter how many we create unless we stick some away

Salford offered nothing really and yet they go away with a point. Nothing convinces me that this latest assembly of the inept are good for anything more than bungling over the play-off line. And at that it will because others fail not because we took charge of our own destiny.

Even if we do; would you put your faith in any of these players. Afraid not. In the end we will still be in this league next season. If so that will be the end of the Bowyer era; as we could not let him take it any further. Promotion from this lousy League is pivotal to the sucess of the City For All season ticket campaign. Rupp & Rhodes have gone early on it to try and suck up what appetite remains that we will be in the cut to League One in May. People will hang fire while the weeks play out before committing.

Failure and we will haemorage swaithes of support and would be lucky to teach 6-8000 ? sales. The next 3-4 games are critical to Bowyer I hope he proves me wrong and its maximum points into the New Year. But you realistic head tells you that will not happen. I am not hopeful that much will change in the January window to pull this lot up by the boot strings ?

Forget Doyle he should stay at Swindon. This is his time and theirs and we would look petty hauling back a player who so clearly does not want to play here. Bowyer has to come up with a striker who could produce something different. I hear we are pursuing young Leeds striker Ryan Edmondson ? It would be gamble and a lot to pin hopes on a player with zero first team experience.

We also need to get some players out of that door ! ..for me Richards-E, Devine; Palmer ?, Connolly, ? Mellor ? Ishmail ? McCarten ? Akpan ? Lonridge ??, French ? All can go as either they dont figure or are simply not good enough ? Bowyers got a job on to get this over the line in May. Who genuinely thinks he will just get lucky ..Drury maybe ...???

Doyle isn’t gonna refuse to play if recalled is he. He was never a trouble causer before. He’ll get a L1 move next year whether to Swindon or elsewhere. He’d knuckle down and do what he’s paid to do.

HAS to be recalled. Another home game we dominated the opposition. Could have been ahead by half time and deserved to win. Just lacking that cutting edge Doyle provides. This isnt the same side he played in before. We never created as many chances as we do now with Connolly, Ismael, Cooke and Pritchard etc.

Obviously not there today but was the "style" of play different given no Vaughn? If so, was it a style that maybe Doyle could profit from?
I suppose what I am asking is was it hoofball or well constructed okay it on the floor stuff?

Reeves ran the show for most of the game, used the pace of Oteh and Connolly down the channels. Could have been 4 up by half time. At any level of football you have to take your chances, we didn't. Played better than we have done for weeks against a spirited but limited side. Mainly on the floor stuff.

Not sure but you can be taken away in one apparently according to the song. I won't be climbing in one just in case.

Another 2 points dropped, makes it even worse we were at home to an extremely poor side

The Taylor substitution in the 92nd minute was the most baffling of Bowyers decisions today. Another one was why, at the full time whistle, did GB make a beeline for Rooney to congratulate him on their goal, rather than clap the supporters?? Seems there’s at least 1 every game now without fail. Why the hell were we set up to defend the point in the last half hour or so? You know something is seriously wrong when you’re clinging on for a draw in the dying moments at home against a toothless team

Walking past all the Salford fans on midland road afterwards, I heard “I’ll take that all day long” from at least 3 different groups of them. Speaks volumes

To add insult to injury, Doyle bags another 2

3 points at Carlisle is now imperative. No god damn excuses. They’re another poor team near the bottom, low on confidence after another walloping today

On the home game on New Year’s Day, I want to see Doyle back at VP. If he’s just gonna sulk, let him languish on the fringes and train with the kids. At least Swindon won’t be winning any more

Enough of being the soft tw@ts of the league!

Yes and so should every fan that thought off you pop. Several grand a week wages pushed into an unsuspecting team in our division. Happy days.
Now for all the BS I knew better and didn’t want rid replies.

To be fair, we shouldn't have needed luck with some of those chances.

But it was another 2 points lost at home to a mid table team, following on from yet another draw against the 20th worst team at home in the division.

We can always find ‘reasons’ (excuses) for City failing......we have a lot coming back from injury......we have a lot with illness.........fact is none of the other clubs we play, ever have to contend with these issues.............

Fact is, it is 2 points when we should have had 6!
