Port Vale were down to 10 men for most of the second half.

 

Were already 2-0 down at that point. Had little impact on the result

 

Port Vale wanted it abandoning, but ref left it before making a call and the snow stopped.

Mansfield missed a second pen, as Jordan Bowyer who takes them had been subbed after getting a hat trick.

 

We should have beaten them the other night. No ifs or buts

 

6 games ago we’d have been delighted with a point

 

Yeah it’s not 6 games ago sadly.

 

But if you was asked at that time if a point against port vale was good enough I’m sure you’d have taken it

 

Maybe so but my point is on reflection and based on the game we should have beaten them. I’m judging on the 90 minutes, not because it’s port vale or where we were 6 games ago. It was a chance missed and we need to take advantage of every chance we get with how poor we’ve been this season and especially improve our home form.
Maybe a few more attacking signings will make the difference

 

Let’s hope we make use of this window and get more attacking players in as you say .

 

Why are we getting hung up on Mansfield beating port Vale just because we drew with them. Its irrelevant to absolutely everything

 

Nobody's getting hung about Mansfield beating Vale, only pointing out how fragile our recovery is because Mansfield were dead and buried not long since and managed to score 4 against a poor side, whilst we struggled. The only time we've scored 4 was against amateurs, hence the request for better attack minded players in the window.

 

Yep, we have a solid enough team but don't have any who like to make a run into the box or gamble on getting space in the box from a cross to take a shot. When Novak goes wide we end up with no one in the box really.

 

A point against Port Vale was two points dropped. Hopefully January transfer window time will see us bring in the players that would have won that game.

 

The back six has gelled well since McCalls departure but our terrible transfer strategy has left us with little in the form of runners and pace in the final third. Sutton stepping up to the plate has helped in central midfield, but if him or either of the O'connors get injured we are also light in those areas.

Really? I don't think so. Most people on here were resigned to getting a point because of our toothless strike force. But I don't believe anyone was 'happy' with it. We were easily the better team. At times we battered them. They had one shot on target all game and our keeper didn't have a serious save to make. On the balance of play we should have had a comfortable 2-0 win.
Everyone and their aunty knows we need decent strikers and wingers to convert our pressure into goals.

 

At the moment?? I cant remember when he has got hardly any shots on target. His shooting ability is his major downfall.
