I excluded the goals at Bath., Welling and FGR (non league when he played for them) as you were the one quoting his expereince and record of scoring in the football league as reason to give him more chance here. Most of his goals in his career were scored in non league, which is where I said he belongs

 

How did the second half go last night? I watched the first half but I ended up going to sleep due to lack of it recently.

first half was ok, both sides didn't look like scoring but we didn't look like conceding neither.

 

I noticed how much better Hornby’s distribution was than R’ODs. Might be time to give the lad a little run of games. FCD is solid enough and shows potential, but needs to improve with the ball. And Sutton looks a totally different player.

We need at least one quality winger bringing in though, preferably 2.

Will we notice a difference if they stay whether they still part of the cap or not?

 

If they have anything about them, they will want to be playing as many games as possible but must know their chances of doing that at City are slim to non existent. Hopefully they will both have their agents working flat out to find them new clubs, I'm sure if their agents are successful in doing that, City won't stand in their way and won't be asking for any fees.

 

Going longer is clearly an instruction since the management change, as ROD has been doing the same. By distribution, I meant in the sense of at least getting distance and not putting us under pressure by slicing and miss-hitting clearances.

 

I thought he did the basics pretty well, nothing spectacular although I thought he was rash in sliding out at the edge of the box. On another day that would’ve been a penalty because he didn’t get the ball. Other than that moment I didn’t feel uncomfortable with him being between the sticks.

 

It looked to me like he did get his hand on the ball before the forward went over him. Both commentators thought so too and, clearly, so did the referee.

I believe if that challenge was outside the box it would have been a yellow card, winning the ball but taking the player out has to fall into the category of not being in control I would have thought ?.

 

Or a contract termination.

 

That would be self defeating because it would come from the salary cap
