I wouldn't take any notice of Watmough WW. He loves to say anything that is completely the opposite to your opinion, just to start an argument. Only his opinion counts you know.
You say black, he'll say white.
Waste of space that bloke, no time for him whatsoever.

Gillead had every right to go for that ball with the keeper and barely caught him yet he gets booked. Then in the aftermath their player pushes Gillead in the chest with both hands and no action is taken, I thought that was a sending off offense.Allotment Bantam and Hugh Jarse like this. -

well it made me laugh. @simons (woking bantam) - I have no fing idea what it was on about but Fordy must surely only speak truth to management strategies.

I'm now grinning trying to imagine Roger's face as he read that. Is it too early for me to have a beer?

He's got himself into a situation he didn't want and would be mad to throw more money at it. He doesn't want to own a football club and we have no divine right to expect him to put more in.
What we need is a manager (which hopefully we have now) who can get us out of this league, make us more sellable and someone to come along who does want to own a club. That's why Adams is right to take complete control, shimmy Sparks off into the world of just writing cheques and continue to back his (Adams) own ability to see the job through.
If that's next season, then so be it. We really don't want to be a Bolton who will rumble from one financial crisis to another.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...The Original EB and XCIV_Bantam like this. -
Plymouth are a big club and he’s handled the pressure of 10,000+ crowds there. There’s no doubting the man’s credentials as he’s won promotions at Morecambe and Ross County too on smaller budgets.

“I liken Bradford City to an oil tanker,” he adds. “The biggest size, too. There are a number of clubs in Leagues One and Two — and even the Championship, really — that are speedboats in comparison. That means they can change course quickly, whereas we take some turning.
“We are on with that now but it is nowhere near done yet. What I do believe, though, is that once this oil tanker is up to speed at about 25 knots and moving in the right direction, it will take some stopping.”Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
A CEO thats a novice
And other dancers.
IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!! The club is a mess.
I agree with you fully on the DOF. This Adams we trust to run our club is laughable. It's a joke but he is allowed because of Rupp & Sparks but it highlights they don't know what they are doing. Not a chance they will get a DOF in. Adams would beat them. They are scared of Adams already.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... What's critical is the DoF has a vision, the club have a vision, those visions are the same and agreed upon, and the burden is thus eased for whoever comes in to manage the first team affairs of the club.
Who we would try to attract would depend on which course we wanted to take and what style of football we wanted to imprint as a club culture and identity. There's no point having a DoF if you don't want continuity. There's no point hiring one if you're happy bouncing from direct ball merchant to counter attacking football to ticka tacka (or whatever that term is). You only need one if you want a consistent direction - hence the word 'Director'.
I personally hate the lack of direction this club has had since the Premier League. Even when we stumbled upon Parkinson and all the success he brought, we did absolutely nothing to continue moving in that direction. We hit the reset button and hired Stuart, then hit the reset button multiple times thereafter, and here we are; directionless in League Two.
You're right, you get what you pay for. At the minute we are paying £0 to ensure the club moves forward in a specific direction, and we're sampling the fruits of that as we speak.Dennis and bantam2708 like this. -
