We've to target Morecambe because we play them last.

Think we will all take a winner takes the Play Off spot in the last game of the season.

 

Actually think the two teams that are catchable are more forest green & morecambe who are both out of form at the wrong times. Everyone mentioning Newport there’s defo more than 1 place to go for

 

Can't see the lad starting, T&S can talk our league position down but they know the fans want us to go for it, if we dont make it then at least we had a go, and if we did get a play off place it would look good on their CVs, from what looked like a relegation team to a possible play offs spot in just over 30 games.

 

If Grimsby do come and park the bus I'd think its them that need pace to counter we know James has little pace, Evans Clarke and Donaldson old heads to dictate the game I'm not disappointed with that starting 11, especially when we have a bench that has plenty of pace if needed.

 

We are already without Sutton out we have crankshaw Vernham and scales on the bench.
I hope I am wrong but the team with Donaldson Evans Clarke and Cook is a bit dads army and slow for me

 

This 15 minutes of football has been sunday league stuff. So bloody slow from both sides.

Midfield not getting a grip of this game at all so far.

 

You can tell why Grimsby are bottom but we have managed to look worse. Need to change this at half time.

 

If I were them I'd just run through the middle of our team every time.

We don't seem capable of imposing how we want to play. So poor.

Couldn't believe that Rowe, Vernam and Crankshaw didn't come on at half time after Payne's career ending nonsense put them down to ten.

 

Played awful. Managed to win. Take the points and move on to the next one. I would take continuing to be awful and winning at this stage of the season when we need to make up ground in those above.

Also, just for completeness in terms of the point you are making because we don't want you telling half a story - we couldn't beat Stevenage but Salford did yesterday.

Are Salford better than us then?

Course not! Any team can beat any other team on a given day!

 

The quality of football in this division throughout the full quota of teams is at times downright embarrassing. Even doing the basics is beyond some. I'm animated in my comments about yesterday because I can see a genuine escape from this utterly depressing division this season and I can't describe how desperately I want to see us in league 1 next season. League 2 strips the enthusiasm from you.

 

Reading the comments it seems people would be happy to just get three points every week no matter the performance. Personally I watch to be entertained and that usually entails attacking football from either team. If I had to watch that every week I'd find something else to do. Hopefully just a one off.

 

Back in December before Stuart was sacked, we were 3 points behind Grimsby, 23 points behind Newport and were in danger of dropping down to the conference. We are now 24 points above Grimsby and 3 behind the last play off spot, which just happens to be Newport. There are 7 games left this season, what would you prefer - 7 games that are really entertaining to watch but in which we pick up few points and fall short of making the play offs, or 7 games that are as entertaining as watching paint dry but result in us finishing in the top 7? People say they are desperate to get out of this god awful league but if you are prioritising entertainment above doing that (in a league that is anything but entertaining), you can't be that bothered about it.
