Poor game and based on that we'll not be troubling the playoffs even if we did manage top 7 finish. But you never know. Hope we don't go with that starting 11 again, way too slow.

Just to point out that in the last few matches Tranmere Salford and Cheltenham have all failed to beat Grimsby. So anybody thinking this was going to be a walkover were wrong

 

Even though we won, I was thinking I'm glad I've not had a four hour round trip to watch that.

 

An absolute lack of attacking intent. The first thought is to slow things down and never seem to want to run forward. I’m not sure what they’re afraid of or what they’re told. I get the feeling that if we miss out, it’ll be pats on the back for surviving relegation. We got the 3 points but we need to be 3 levels above where we were today.

 

What tosh.
Donaldson is the only player we have who holds the ball up under pressure and he gets us going forwards more than most of the others.
If others had his vision and pass completion we'd be playing a lot better.

 

Agree. I was just thinking Evans doesn't really fit in with the playing style really. I don't think he'd be here next season if he didn't have a second year on his contact.

 

We were rubbish but look at the table now, Crawley Town on Tuesday night cant be dismissed even with a performance like today.
Right up to 5th is still on for clubs just outside the play off's.

 

Yep, a few of us said that before the match however our lack of attacking intent was awful.

He was not as good as he has been recently since he was brought back, but which of today's players performed to anything like their ability, you could say the same about any of the 11 starters.

Agreed, but he isn’t really good enough and we aren’t creating chances, just like when McCall was picking him. Not all down to him though.

I think were all at a loss after what we've just witnessed a poor display but were still in the hunt and neither you or I would not want us to make a play off place then its down to the team on the day,

 

well, that was dreadfull, Evans brings nothing , Wood for all his possesion creates nothing and my god how did he not score with chance in the second half. We are winning but i dont know how, are attack is one paced and that is dead slow.
Are we boring our way to the playoffs

 

Heads up at training Monday and we go again but we must deliver 3 points then the table will really be looking interesting.

 

Except Wood produced a great cross which resulted in the goal
